My Auntie is the general manager of this ship and I was able to get a 2 week cruise on with her and my mum a few months back. It is truly something, we met so many amazing people and it is really something to work for. The staff are so nice and helpful and it was the best holiday i have ever been on! Truly reccomended.
Mike, We just returned from the Riviera on January 14th. As usual the ship was amazing. We have sailed on it 4 times sine new. Our new cabin concierge 9034 was very beautiful. However, everything else on Oceania has seriously gone down hill. The evidence of cuts to the service and food aboard was everywhere. The crew spoke hardly any English and did not understand anything. They were also as green as can be. At one point my husband got up and cleared our own table in the terrace cafe. The quality and choice of food is just on par with celebrity cruise line. In short we have chosen Regent again!
All of the elegance without any of the stuffiness. We're also looking forward to not having to deal with all of the lines, and thousands of passengers on the mass market cruise ships. We can't wait to begin our upcoming cruise on Oceania Riviera!
Looking at Oceania for Alaska in the next couple years. I was interested in the Regatta but only see Riviera. Am wondering if Regatta is being retired or refurbished. Or maybe Oceania decided to retired the Alaska itinerary for that ship?
Aside from picture quality issues, the super speed scanning of menus and wine selection, this ship tour didn't make me want to jump onboard. Not the best advert for Oceania IMO.
Just got off JUne 2. Tell your aunt to get back to work. THE EXECUTION WAS TERRIBLE. cold food, overcooked food, poor untrained waite staff WOULD NOT RECOMMEND> I am a retired wine distributor from Chicago My wife a travel agent.. We were not alone with our complaints BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Do waste you money unless you really like bad seasick. Production show only consists of 4 people, music only play 45 minutes per day. All their money is spent on mailing advertising, 2 or 3 books per day in my mail box. Lobster is dry, tough with frozen taste. Specialty restaurants are not that good at all. Service is OK. I been to 250 cruises, this is the worst experience. Lots of adverting, most are paid UA-camR and highly bias.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WORTHLESS CRUISE.
