A Whole Lot of YACHT at FLIBS 2021-Denison Yachting & More - Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Welcome to the 62nd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) which was held October 27 to 31, 2021. The largest in water boat show in the world brought back its venues at the SuperYacht Village and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center.
On my third day at the show, we focus on the main in-water show area located by Bahia Mar and Swimming Hall of Fame just off of A1A. We start the day off at Denison Yachting where I cover the longest boat this channel has seen so far -- the 185' Oceanfast "4 Roses." We explore some of Denison's other offerings including the "Helios," a 92' Lazarra Yacht with a tour by its creator himself, Joe Lazarra!
Lunchtime brings me to Ft. Lauderdale's famous Coconuts which had a wait time of over an hour. I show you around before heading off to grab a fast bite at Bo's Beach. We continue touring a wide variety of boats into a beautiful sunset before taking the water taxi back to the SuperYacht Village.
Closing out Saturday, we learn of a private party at the SuperYacht Village where it's all about Denison! Bob Denison, President and Founder of Denison Yachting, explains that History Fort Lauderdale was honoring his grandparents, Frank and Gertrude Denison, with the History Makers Pioneer Family Award for being Broward County yachting-industry forerunners. A congratulatory letter from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis points out that they were instrumental in shaping Fort Lauderdale as "The Yachting Capital of the World." They launched their first custom motor yacht in 1953 and also built minesweeper vessels during the Korean War!
