yes ,the resistor function is BAD,it only continuity,if it is high accuracy show the low ohm maybe good.

I bought a detector like this one, it cannot detect resistance less than 0.00316. Is there a way to improve this?

and this meter can't read a small resistor like 0.5 ohmes,and if 0.00316 you must buy a low OHM meter be the best way sir.
