Currently using the storage water heater type. Had I known the usefulness of the gas type I would have gone the gas water heater route. I could have run a hot water line to my sink and that would have made washing dishes easier. Speaking of storage water type, typically I would run it before my shower. When showering I have a habit of switching it off. The storage water heater can keep hot water for quite a while. And more than enough for a short shower.
@@layercake666 counter top dishwashers has it limits as big pots can't fit unless you have those freestanding ones. Nonetheless makes life easier. Even Xiaomi countertop dishwashers are quite good. So yeah good to have the 2nd option of washing in the sink with hot water.
@@layercake666 yeah. I could not accommodate a free standing one for my bto kitchen. Have been considering a counter top dishwasher but it's still a want and counter top spaces are precious. If I were to get a bigger resale house I would consider the freestanding ones
Hi, I just have some few questions. Hopefully, you'll be able to answer. Thank you. 1. For a 4.5kW electric water heater, what's the size(mm²) of the cable should be use? 2. What's the Amp rating for the cable? 3. What's the Amp rating for the ON/OFF switch?
Hi, thanks a lot for the video. I have a question, currently my water heater is still connected to a 3 pin plug. The switch button is old so it can be quite loose. Some electrician said it's enough to change to dual pole switch, some said need to rewire the entire thing. In your experience, is changing to dual pole switch as per your video is safe enough?
Hi, can the heater switch of 20A convert to normal power socket of 13A for usage of home appliances? Will this prone to jeopardise the home appliance lifespan?

@@iskandarbz Those free standing ones is massive in size but I see they have blue ticks which saves water.

Can I ask, for the earth wire from water heater, does it have to connect to the right or left top corner of the switch? Thanks.
Does not matter there is a metal bar which links the two.. its mote for convenience
@@ThePunggolHandyManThanks!

Can I change my normal switch to a 20a switch to power my vent hood?
Nope.. 20A refers to the entire circuit.. normal circuit only have 1 live wire inside.. a 20A Circuit has live neutral and earth

Yea! 20A is like a speed limit. You can drive slower than that
