Passing the CAPM test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don't have time for your studies l'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard
People keep talking about Willard all over
UA-cam, he must be a very awesome help
I studied for months and couldn't pass, I guess passing is a blessing
Everyone has their own way, Willard worked for me and studying didn't
I've taken the test for the 4th time and yet I
failed, I really studied hard enough each time,
please I need Mr Willard info😫
@Charls Williams Nice words
Took my CAPM exam last week and passed on the first try! Make sure you understand your ITTOs and do not forget to study agile/adaptive management! I had more questions than I expected on that
Woo! Congrats!! Definitely - those are all good tips.
I’m writing my CAPM just this Friday. I’ve read the PMBOK Guide 3 times now. The guide doesn’t really elaborate on agile/adaptive management except from the beginning where it introduces you to the types of development approaches and also at the beginning of every new knowledge area. I wonder how the agile/adaptive management questions were like
Liz you took it Online right? Was it timed? or not?
Christodia Trebi yes the questions were on the developmental process. They’re weren’t too many but they were a few
Audrey Segarra Yes I took it online, and you are timed I think 150 or 180 minutes. I took my time, reread every question and answer I put, and still had about 45 minutes left over. You can also flag questions and come back to them later which is very convenient.
I really liked your presentation for your CAPM video and the style of presentation. I wish you had done a start to finish on prepping for the cert. I would have been all in. Thank you for your contribution anyway. It is encouraging to see you and so many others accomplish the one and done completion of the cert. Hold my beer, I'm going in. Lol
This was very helpful and informative. Short and sweet which I truly appreciate. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your experience(It's help full fro beginners )
Sincere and meaningful guidance.great job
I completely agree with you that time management is the key to achieve CAPM certification. I completed first 5 chapters but then I got busy with my work and after a few days I again started preparing from the scratch. I think I need to make a deadline for myself to be able to pass this exam. Thanks for your tips though
Pls, can you write me the study materials you are using ? I want to buy one but none yet
Congratulations I am taking the exam March 2021
great insight!
Thank you, this was very helpful! :)
you're welcome! glad it helped :)
Great video!
Karen Hulbig thank you! ☺️
Can you recommend me any exam prepartion book to buy and practise?
Thanks
please make more of these videos!
Working on it! :)
Hi! Did you take a class and did you have to memorize the PMBOK cover to cover??
Is it a must to read PMBOK to prepare for CAPM exam? I have a dilemma . Shall I take some courses that help to prepare for it or to read PMBOK and prepare for the exam by myself ? I saw PMI chapter course as well. They help to prepare for the CAPM exam.
Question about Exam Questions. I am seeing a lot of conflicting information online. Is the exam more based on definitive values, ie. "Which Plan Schedule Management tool or technique may involve choosing strategic options to estimate and schedule the project", or are they more situational base like "You are on a conference call and one of the callers has a co-worker talking in the background. This is a type of___?". I know they are all multiple choice.
Hey Jason! In my experience, I encountered a mix of both definitive and situational-type questions, but more definitive ones. As Liz said above: those types of questions heavily focused on the ITTOs and on agile/adaptive methodology. Hope this helps.
Hi, I have got CAPM certification in Canada and your videos are helpful, but I am not getting any interview responses from employers. Please suggest, my resume is fine edited.. Regards
Thank you for your video explanation. Probably more details about what the exam was like could help in another video? MAIN REASON TO REACH OUT: Are the practice quizzes you suggest really reflective of the Questions on the CAPM exam? Crazy question but I must ask because it seems I have been studying the PMP exams and they may be quite different than the CAPM!!

Can you share notes and materials you used ..I would appreciate as it will help me prepare

Hi Terri! How did you complete your 23 hours of education? Do you have any suggestions of courses?
Hi Renee! I completed my 23 hours online with the University of Toronto through their project management continuing studies. The course was great, and I received my hours after taking 1 out of the 3 courses in the PM certificate. You can also get it through other means of education, like through project management programs/seminars/workshops. Hope this helps!
Hey, thanks for sharing the prep video, it really helped me a lot. @3:28 what is the microsoft program that you have been using?
I'm glad it helped! I used Microsoft One Note to note-take. Notion is another software alternative (there is a free version) with limited features.
@@pursuitsprojects977 Thank uuu
You mentioned your study schedule was over 3 months. I also work a normal day job, and plan to utilize my weekends primarily. Do you think 2 months to prep is too ambitious?
Hey Annabelle! 3 months + a full time job was pushing it a little for me, especially if something came up on the weekend. There's a lot of material to cover, so two months is definitely ambitious (but not impossible). Studying during the pandemic might be easier though, considering there's not much going on!
Can you give a percentage of the ITTO questions that came in the exam? It’s having me anxious and I’m being tempted to try and memorize them
What’s ITTO?

Hey thanks for this video! I am happy to see women around my age talking about project management related topic.
Where do we find the dates when the exam is available. i cannot find it anywhere. thank you
You first apply for the exam, then when you’re accepted by PMI, you select a date based on the schedule of the eligible centre in your locality. I’m 19 and I’m writing my CAPM exam just this Friday
Christodia Trebi Hey, they just announced that CAPM exam is now online
Audrey Segarra yeah I saw that too. I just took my CAPM yesterday and I was successful
@@christrebi7194 Hi, I was just wondering, where exactly did you complete your 23 contact hours in order to sit for the exam? :)
Adriana I took mines with Master of Project Academy
Can you link the book that you studied of off? 😊
Thank you for sharing. I have completed required hours as per the eligibility for CAPM and referred kathy schwalbe book. Whenever I attempt CAPM practice test I feel the need to practice more.I do not have access to PMbok so what is the best way to prepare for the exam.

Can you recommend me a website that provide capm bank question? or can you email me the bank question you have
For sure! I added the links to the description. I browsed through and did some of these Q's during the mid-way study mark and the day before the exam. Goodluck!
Thank you for sharing! I’ve been on and off with my PMP journey and i admit that work and constant house moving has been a real factor. Now I’m doing my best to get back into the flow and attempting my second try in 3 months. Do you have a study plan available to share?
Hi Could you please provide a link for the study material you used ( the chapters you mentioned)
Thank you for the tips. Can you say whether the ITTO's were on the exam?
You're welcome! There were definitely ITTO's on the exam. I found the process of elimination really helped, as some of the wording can be tricky.
Pursuits & Projects Thank you!

Does anyone know how to find the exam outline as stated in this video?
@caityvollman this blog breaks down the exam outline / learning objectives of the CAPM :) www.mobileqaengineer.com/blog/2019/7/17/breakdown-of-capm-exam
Did you take the boot camp through PMI or did you self study and then just take the test
Hi! I self-studied and took online practice exams (see description for some links). I completed the required 23 hours of project management education prior and that course definitely helped prep me for the exam as well.
Pursuits & Projects Thank you . Do you feel like it helped you in your career.
Pursuits & Projects Where did you take the 23 hr education course was it through PMI or somewhere else?
@@pursuitsprojects977 What book did you use to self study?
Danisha McNair she won’t like to say maybe
Do you still have those notes you put together I'm struggling. Can I purchase them from you
What methods are you using to study?
Danisha McNair I took the course through PMI and I been doing pocket prep but and taking the practice exams through PMI.
J Mariah When do you plan to take the CAMP? Do you think that the PMI boot camp was actually helpful? How long did it take you to complete the CAMP boot camp? I’m sorry I’m asking a million questions, but I’ve been trying to self study with a book and I’m kind of struggling. I’ve been stuck in the same spot for a while, because I realized I didn’t understand it, and I really want to hurry up and finish, so I can pass the exam by the end of this month.
Danisha McNair I don’t recommend trying to just self study the book I would take a course so you can know what type of questions will be on the exam now if you already work in project management then it may be a little easier I know I do but it’s still hard. I would download pocket prep. I would also find and download practice exams
J Mariah Well I’ve been self studying an exam prep, just to clarify, by Belinda Goodrich. I am not in PM, so yeah it’s definitely hard. I’m a hands on learner and I at least need to be engaged, so just studying by myself, for long periods is rough. I downloaded Pocket Prep, but then got rid of it, because either my exam prep book didn’t align with Pocket Prep , or Pocket Pre didn’t align with my book. At least in the sense that, the subjects Pocket Prep was testing me on, would have the same title as some sections in my book, but the book hadn’t necessarily, covered that information yet. I definitely will look into investing in the PMI Boot Camp. Thank you for your helpful response! If you have anymore tips or advice, please let me know!
thank you! for the valuble info...can u share your notes to me..cause iam preparing for capm...it would be easier for me to quickly get through the topics in detail..mainly the keythings and imprtnt topics, because its getting difficult for me to go through entire content..
will share my email id accordingly to ur response...😊
