I didn’t say it was realistic, I said it was recognisable. When talking about observational art, that’s a big difference.
Besides, the competition wasn’t about how manga it looked either.
Sometimes something can be less realistic than something else, but more beautiful. Sometimes something can be more recognisable, but less realistic. Either way, if you’re trying to make a portrait of someone, a large part of the quality (even when it’s not realistic) is that it’s recognisable.
His is great. It’s also more realistic, and it’s great.
If you have a different opinion, argue it with what makes hers better. I’d love to know. I personally just don’t see it that way.

I personally think that they are both so incredibly talented however in this challenge I'm going to go with the boyfriends drawing of his girlfriend ❤ His was definitely more life like and realistic as her's was anime and didn't capture her boyfriend in real life form.... @@pererabokulgmail Honestly, hands are pretty difficult to draw - I’ve struggled with that myself. But I never even noticed the hands until I read your comment because I was so hypnotized by the face. I think the hands get a pass because I think they’re optional lol.

HERE IS THE TRUTH AND THE WINNER. Her picture that she drew is phenomenal. The picture is bright, colorful and overall absolutely amazing. His picture that he drew was spot on, detail oriented, and life-like. His picture captured her beauty and detailed it. While her picture that she drew looks more anime, she had him looking like a Yugio character and less like himself. In conclusion, her picture was optically more enjoyable but his was more accurate, detailed and geared towards the challenge. The winner is THE BOYFRIEND.
