Absolutely incredible. Putting real stakes to the rivalry outside of just a mock Olympics in this way is exactly what the story needs to keep moving forward
This is like the first cinematic in a while that shows people actually shooting other people with real guns and real casualties. Kinda weird but it's really what Siege should be instead of all this wannabe avengers nonsense a lot of the cinematics have been. Don't get me wrong, the operators in Siege will always be superhero-types but it's nice to bring the story back down to a certain realism at least. It was very refreshing to see the ops actually taking out targets as opposed to just beating them up/fighting with blanks.
These cgi shorts are infinitely better than the anime-like sketch animations and are also not only much better, but better suited to the siege universe
I miss the days where the Spec ops were actually running Special operations It's nice watching these elite soldiers take people down instead of just training with eachother Shame that it looks like we're just gonna get more of the Spec Ops fighting eachother considering the whole R6 vs Nighthaven conflict that's going on now
I’m telling you, if they made a R6 CGI mini series, it would be such a banger, especially bringing many new & old players back to Siege. These trailers are always so amazing, especially their stories.
I completely agree! There is so much potential in terms of stories they could tell! Across the in game bios, concept art and other lore, there is potential for something truly great. We've played as these characters for the best part of a decade. But we've also barely scratched the surface of their stories
With the success, from what I have heard, of Riotgames Arcane? They have laid the foundations for other companies to possibly get in on that action. Quite rightly so, if there are good people in Ubisoft, they can make what you are asking @kat kenway, happen.
The original SI cinematic was also great, but yeah this one is fantastic. I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. It signals the return to the core of siege (Anti-terrorism, etc.), while bringing real stakes, building on existing lore, and finally beginning to tell a cohesive story.

Watched this on launch and rewatching you guys know zofia let ela basically win at 2:15. She didn't wanna rush in and finish her but ela didn't hesitate so she won. It's the contrast of how ela says zofia's become less of a sister and it's the complete opposite. Beautiful
It’s sort of like League, where they release stunning cinematic musics. These kind of videos are really fun to watch, but they do not reflect their game. Still cool to see a trailer dedicated to the Bosak. They were both my attack and defence mains when I played.
Their father would have been ashamed if he had lived seeing his daugthers hating each other. But you can clearly see both Ela and Zofia deeply love and respect each other as all siblings should do. The struggle that they both trying to hold back their emotions is just heart-wrenching.
I disagree, I'm sure Jan Bosak (Zofia's and Ela's father) would be proud to see Zofia still be loyal to GROM and Rainbow. And hate ela even more. You gotta love child favoritism

I am in love with some of the lore in this game..Especially Zofia and Ela’s. I think also knowing that they are sisters possibly makes things so much better. Deep down you can see that they were so close and then once Jan (their father) had died; things changed. For the sake of them two, I hope something happens (positively) between the two of them, so they can move on peacefully, but know they can always count on each other still. Even if it’s hard, and if it meant fighting to get to that point. Nonetheless I love this game. Really goes to show how each character has a deeper meaning. Edit: By deeper meaning I mean this.. They fight, we fight. They argue, we argue. But being a sister sure does feel pretty rewarding, especially when it comes to this video. My sister and I have gotten really close these past few years. One way is by video games, including Rainbow Six Siege. I remember the day she first played Ela and I played Zofia. With her being younger, I found out that Ela is actually Zofias younger sister, too. Which made both of us grow a bond with the Bosak sisters even more. This trailer would make a good PvE Campaign game. Call it...Rainbow Six: Alliance. Fight the terrorists, save the world, sister conflict for story etc etc. Keep it tactical.

This is easily the best Siege cinematic I have ever seen and felt so much hype just watching this, but it also hit very different just seeing Ela and Zofia grow that rivalry that expands out of just the normal kind of sibling rivalry. Although they do still love each other as siblings, it's as though they think of each other as enemies in some way that's hidden beneath the emotions they're hiding, but just the insight to the backstory of these two is just so deep and heavy-hitting that it's hard to put into words! Please for the love of Siege, give us more cinematics like this! I beg
This makes me want a siege animated series. Arcane proved that it could be done and it seems that some of the siege characters also have depth that can be worked with. I know there isn't much of a world to explore, but if they kept it character-focused, I think it could work.
I never would have thought in 2015 when this game launched that we'd be getting stuff like this for it 7 years later. Well done all involved, this was excellent. Kind of got metal gear vibes from the sibling rivalry/"perfect soldiers" line.

The music and the animations are amazing. The insights in the lore are so well implemented in this cinematic story !! We need a series of this, like an actual TV series or something with a cohesive plot. It would definitely be absolutely stunning
I really think the separation between operators and conflict between the teams will eventually lead to new game modes and possibly even story driven events that will let you play as one of the two teams
@@kruppelfield I think these are the sort of things we will see in ghost recon. the 2 universes are linked so I believe that we will eventually get a ghost recon game that heavily features the r6 operators rather than just simple cross over events and we will actually see this whole Nighthaven vs Rainbow war thats about to go down.

Ela and Zofia’s sister rivalry always reminded me of how my sister and I are. We used to have a bond, we were inseparable. Until one day our bond was broken. I can’t remember how, but we just drifted apart. I am grateful for the times I’ve had with her when we were younger, but it’ll never be the same without her. It’s nice having someone to relate to even though they aren’t real. I feel like Ela, and my sister is like Zofia. Thank you Ubisoft for making such amazing and relatable characters.

I love smokes voice and visual design the way his voice is scratchy and forces makes a perfect addition to his chemical burn as if he has some chemical scarring in his throat perfect as always
On one hand, I love this short. On the other, I'm conflicted by Ela's words. I thought I remember the original bios for the sisters suggesting that it was Zofia that kept trying to reach out to her after their dad died, and not the other way around. Unless I missed something, it feels a little off having them switch places like that.
I believe Ela reached out first but got ignored by Zofia, then they both had some kind of hostility between each other. Zofia then tried to make amends and reconnect with her but Ela refused, in Zofia’s bio it’s stated: « but Ela ignored all her attempts to reconcile. »
Almost all of my mains with Nighthaven. Ela, IQ, Aruni, Smoke, and there are other few that we don't know yet. I hate Kali, she's the typical rich girl with a whole army behind her. Their tech is amazing, but that's the only thing I actually like about Nighthaven.
My guy Oryx doesn't need to be involved in these petty fights, he needs to be having arm wrestles with Superman and the Hulk! Jokes aside, I honestly think Oryx would be better as a DC character

This just keeps nailing the fact that Kali is trying to get her team on her side as much as she can. But Kali cares about her PMC too much. People like James and the others at team Rainbow, they don’t care about being the best and fighting terrorists, but being part of a family. That’s what makes them great.

No, Ela just doesn't have a clue why the hack Zofia is bulling her so hard, like "Sister hasn't been on the funeral - lets hate her as top enemy!" Whaaaat???? Maybe she couldn't bear to be there in that moment, and from what I remember, apparently their father was more closer to Zofia than Ela which was already making some sort of rivalry between them
Unless they changed things, their father was always close with Zofia and Ela was a little bit of the outcast. So that might be one reason why she did not attend. Also it's not a crime if someone would not appear at the funeral, some people can't force themselves to come, but often visit the grave few days later to have "one on one conversation" with the dead person. And fact is, Zofia was harsh towards Ela after their father died.
I actually have to agree with you, I think they have finally pushed away from the constant esports arena no one plays and actually might make a captivating story out of the game
Really setting up this rivalry/split faction of Kali's mercs and Team Rainbow. Absolutely knocked it out of the park with this cinematic. Loved every bit of it and am excited to see how this all develops further.

As a Polish American one of the things that drew me towards this game is the multinational operators and actual polish people and language! I waited so long for them both to be in a cinematic. Dziękuję!!!
Another reason to hate Kali and Nighthaven: splitting Rainbow in half, turning them against each other. She calls Rainbow “children” and Nighthaven “adults” which is irritatingly hypocritical considering Nighthaven is a mercenary outfit while Rainbow is dedicated to global security. The most painful part of this is Smoke bidding her welcome to “the family” after he’s just betrayed his other family, and his SAS mates.
I haven't played siege since the beginning of the year, so I can only assume I ended up watching because I was just watching a ton of Brutus live videos.
It's gotten really hard to care about this game anymore, active with updates but it still feels empty, different. This trailer is a nice little love letter to the Siege story and it's interesting characters, a highlight of the golden years.
For those who havent noticed.. the parking lot that was in the video is actually the parking lot of the Greek Museum of Mythology and the sign when on the road when they Kali and her team were leaving at 3:03 said Port Kalafanaros witch is actually a real place, on the sign itself there is graffiti that reads, ''ενάντια όλες τις πιθανότητες''. In Greek , that means ''against all odds'' As a greek person myself it feels good for my country to play a role in this amazing game first with the Stadium map and now with this. I feel like they have been teasing a Greek operator for the longest time and I wonder when they will actually add them in the game. Aside from that, the cinematic was absolutely stunning not only with its graphics but also with the story that it presents I whould love for there to be an actual series of this just what they did like with Arcane (League of legends) 10/10
We really need an insight into Zofia’s thoughts about their current separation and their times. I love that they have more emphasis on their bond and their existence, because Zofia was my favourite operator and still is, even though she’s been nerfed to the ground.

I am in love with some of the lore in this game..Especially Zofia and Ela’s.
I think also knowing that they are sisters possibly makes things so much better.
Deep down you can see that they were so close and then once Jan (their father) had died; things changed.
For the sake of them two, I hope something happens (positively) between the two of them, so they can move on peacefully, but know they can always count on each other still.
Even if it’s hard, and if it meant fighting to get to that point.
Nonetheless I love this game. Really goes to show how each character has a deeper meaning.

They fight, we fight. They argue, we argue. But being a sister sure does feel pretty rewarding, especially when it comes to this video.
My sister and I have gotten really close these past few years. One way is by video games, including Rainbow Six Siege. I remember the day she first played Ela and I played Zofia. With her being younger, I found out that Ela is actually Zofias younger sister, too. Which made both of us grow a bond with the Bosak sisters even more. This video hits hard for us personally too, and I love the sistership that they have.
I hope they get close again and I love the feeling we get when we watch this video together. I can’t wait for our bond, and hopefully theirs, to grow forever.
It just hits so hard as an older sister, like Zofia. Thank you, Ubisoft ❤️.

This trailer would make a good PvE Campaign game. Call it...Rainbow Six: Alliance. Fight the terrorists, save the world, sister conflict for story etc etc. Keep it tactical.

Could we please get more cinematics like this one? This is easily the best Siege cinematic I have ever seen and felt so much hype just watching this, but it also hit very different just seeing Ela and Zofia grow that rivalry that expands out of just the normal kind of sibling rivalry. Although they do still love each other as siblings, it's as though they think of each other as enemies in some way that's hidden beneath the emotions they're hiding, but just the insight to the backstory of these two is just so deep and heavy-hitting that it's hard to put into words! Please for the love of Siege, give us more cinematics like this! I beg
this is easily the best cinematic that I ever seen in general, you can feel the emotion, you can feel the pain, this needs a series now.

This makes me want a siege animated series. Arcane proved that it could be done and it seems that some of the siege characters also have depth that can be worked with. I know there isn't much of a world to explore, but if they kept it character-focused, I think it could work.

I really think the separation between operators and conflict between the teams will eventually lead to new game modes and possibly even story driven events that will let you play as one of the two teams

@@kruppelfield I think these are the sort of things we will see in ghost recon. the 2 universes are linked so I believe that we will eventually get a ghost recon game that heavily features the r6 operators rather than just simple cross over events and we will actually see this whole Nighthaven vs Rainbow war thats about to go down.

This is so different from the other trailers we got before. It’s amazing.
Ela and Zofia’s sister rivalry always reminded me of how my sister and I are. We used to have a bond, we were inseparable. Until one day our bond was broken. I can’t remember how, but we just drifted apart. I am grateful for the times I’ve had with her when we were younger, but it’ll never be the same without her. It’s nice having someone to relate to even though they aren’t real. I feel like Ela, and my sister is like Zofia. Thank you Ubisoft for making such amazing and relatable characters.

I love smokes voice and visual design the way his voice is scratchy and forces makes a perfect addition to his chemical burn as if he has some chemical scarring in his throat perfect as always
On one hand, I love this short. On the other, I'm conflicted by Ela's words. I thought I remember the original bios for the sisters suggesting that it was Zofia that kept trying to reach out to her after their dad died, and not the other way around. Unless I missed something, it feels a little off having them switch places like that.
She probably was, bit from Ela's perspective she still felt isolated.
I believe Ela reached out first but got ignored by Zofia, then they both had some kind of hostility between each other. Zofia then tried to make amends and reconnect with her but Ela refused, in Zofia’s bio it’s stated: « but Ela ignored all her attempts to reconcile. »
As a Zofía main, this was brutal to me. I geniuenly care about siege's story, and this hit hard.

Almost all of my mains with Nighthaven. Ela, IQ, Aruni, Smoke, and there are other few that we don't know yet. I hate Kali, she's the typical rich girl with a whole army behind her. Their tech is amazing, but that's the only thing I actually like about Nighthaven.
My guy Oryx doesn't need to be involved in these petty fights, he needs to be having arm wrestles with Superman and the Hulk!
Jokes aside, I honestly think Oryx would be better as a DC character

Ubisoft is really making a comeback with siege, this was perfect

This just keeps nailing the fact that Kali is trying to get her team on her side as much as she can. But Kali cares about her PMC too much. People like James and the others at team Rainbow, they don’t care about being the best and fighting terrorists, but being part of a family. That’s what makes them great.

Ela didn't go to her father's funeral and now blames her sister for the distance between themselves. I have a feeling she might be projecting a bit. The worst part is that now she's with Kali who just fuels her hate for Zofia. Captivating story imo.

Only Cali's conflict with Ash is realistic - the power (and the money) - it is classic for thousands years. But every other conflict in siege story looks a little bit idiotic)

@@GK-ut9nc yeah, Ubisoft has published new CGI video about Zofia and Ela recently, pretty stupid, but rather beautiful, about this topic, just google and try it, bet you'll like it.
Maybe she couldn't bear to be there in that moment, and from what I remember, apparently their father was more closer to Zofia than Ela which was already making some sort of rivalry between them
Unless they changed things, their father was always close with Zofia and Ela was a little bit of the outcast. So that might be one reason why she did not attend.
Also it's not a crime if someone would not appear at the funeral, some people can't force themselves to come, but often visit the grave few days later to have "one on one conversation" with the dead person. And fact is, Zofia was harsh towards Ela after their father died.
I spent soo much on this game in so glad they put our efforts to A-S+++ work for the people!

Really setting up this rivalry/split faction of Kali's mercs and Team Rainbow. Absolutely knocked it out of the park with this cinematic. Loved every bit of it and am excited to see how this all develops further.

Another reason to hate Kali and Nighthaven: splitting Rainbow in half, turning them against each other. She calls Rainbow “children” and Nighthaven “adults” which is irritatingly hypocritical considering Nighthaven is a mercenary outfit while Rainbow is dedicated to global security. The most painful part of this is Smoke bidding her welcome to “the family” after he’s just betrayed his other family, and his SAS mates.

It's gotten really hard to care about this game anymore, active with updates but it still feels empty, different. This trailer is a nice little love letter to the Siege story and it's interesting characters, a highlight of the golden years.

For those who havent noticed.. the parking lot that was in the video is actually the parking lot of the Greek Museum of Mythology
and the sign when on the road when they Kali and her team were leaving at 3:03 said Port Kalafanaros witch is actually a real place, on the sign itself there is graffiti that reads, ''ενάντια όλες τις πιθανότητες''. In Greek , that means ''against all odds'' As a greek person myself it feels good for my country to play a role in this amazing game first with the Stadium map and now with this. I feel like they have been teasing a Greek operator for the longest time and I wonder when they will actually add them in the game.
Aside from that, the cinematic was absolutely stunning not only with its graphics but also with the story that it presents

We really need an insight into Zofia’s thoughts about their current separation and their times. I love that they have more emphasis on their bond and their existence, because Zofia was my favourite operator and still is, even though she’s been nerfed to the ground.
The question you need to ask yourself is "who's been loyal to you?", pretty deep, even in real life, the best R6 trailer by far
