Yes but a robber story is pretty easy to generate dialogue around. I would love to see the same video with a less novel context. Thank you for your videos they are so good!

Love love love your tips! As an over thinker in social settings, being intentional on truly actively listening can help a lot in having natural flow in conversation.
P.S. where did you get that wave picture in the background? It always catches my eye when I watch your videos 😍

Love it, and thank you!! I found you via IG, and I’m glad I get the long version of you on here! Question…. How did you even figure out to even think/question these things…. I’m glad you did because it’s so helpful to me, but I’m just curious…

so helpful! could you make a vid on politely saying to relationships going beyond a conversation? I'm really good at connecting with others, but in the past I've had a hard time discerning how to say no when people ask to make plans. now that I teach in-person yoga, I find that I naturally connect with people but now I'll have students (or other teachers) ask to hang out and I have no intention of doing so. I just like having engaging conversation and connecting when I do see them

    love this video niu!
Not needing to do so much is such a key in interaction with others. Im observing my own response to be people-pleasing in conversations that activate sometimes of emotion reaction within me. Let me know if this is making any sense lol

Thanks Ariel! I think what makes conversations often difficult for me is being on the lookout for the undercurrent mood that might go against the person’s actual words. You had an example of repetition - “Yeah, it does sound like you ate a lot” - but the person might be secretly hoping you’d disagree with them, and simple repetition would only sour the relationship. And then there’s a whole category of people who initiate the conversation explicitly to trap you into complimenting them - “Oh nooo, what’re you talking about, you’re really pretty!” I never know how to escape the latter without being mean or impolite.

Great video! How can we politely decline to discuss politics and what’s the best response if someone says something slightly offensive or racist and you want to be assertive but not mean. Thanks!

How to make it less about me? I am afraid i may be seen narcissistic for always reiterate n repeating their point to match mine. I find it easy this way to reiterate but it's hard to relate everytime it bcs I dont have the similar experiences.
