Please do not worry about critics. We are living in the evil times, the times of the Antichrist. Our Lord said, "Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in Heaven (Matt 5:11)." May God bless you, keep and protect you, and lead you. Amen!

I think a concern is the loud string voices speaking out against yet they never read it & are out there influencing other Catholics by their negative words they put out….those Catholics hear it & figure “I never read it… but they must know because I heard others saying the same thing.” Then, if someone talks about it to them, they’ll say no I heard bad things about it. It’s to be avoided.

God bless you Robert. I heard a rumor that Maria's right arm did not decay and now you have documented it. It's so amazing. The Valtorta conflict is rooted in the difficulty one's controlling mind has in yielding to the heart. I admire how you soldier on with good cheer Robert.

Im so glad i persisted and read the writings of Maria Valtorta they have added so much insight and helped open ones heart further to the holy. Scruptures in appreciation. I love how we are offered an insight into the play of personalities of the disciples. This isnt seen much in the Bible but more fully explored in Valtorta text. I especially appreciate reading just how merciful and loving Jesus and Mary was towards Judas Iscaroit befire his betray in trying to help him understand better and to ooen his heart to God's ways not mans ideas. Mary and Jesus both tried to make themselevs avaliable persoanllybto help him and still he didnt accept the truth.

My journey began with asking in a state of Grace and with love for the gift of prayer. Im far from perfect by the way! After i read prayer of the heart by Jean Koury which led me to scriptural rosary. The Gift of prayer, prayers where certainly answered and received. I started reading 24 hours of the passion which lede to contemplative prayer. I thank Our Heavenly Father throughy Lord for givinge the Gift of prayer with the Holy Spirit. It's quite special. Possibly the greatest Gift ive ever received other than the Sacraments.
People need to understand that prayer isnt just word's. Albeit important! If we cant find some time to alot to Christ/Our Father in 24 hours we may need to look at ourselves. Bless you all.

I read her books about 15 years ago. All of them. I treated them as a 'story' at the time, as they had not had Vatican approval. In fact shortly after I had read all the volumes we were told not to read them by ...I can't remember who now, but it was a 'high up there' Catholic office. I found them to be amazing, beautiful, and I highly recommend everyone to read them. If we can watch 'The Chosen' which has alot of non Biblical little stories attached to it, then why the problem with reading Valtorta's books?

    • @colmoneill191

Maybe because it's made up? We had to wait almost 1900 years for an improved update on the gospels. The early Christians also had people writing unapproved heretical "gospels" which were very popular too. Stick to the real Gospels. Plenty there for most people.

I have never read the writings of Maria Valtorta, but have read what other visionaries have said so I'm making a general point about personal locutions. They often read like fan fiction, which for those who don't know, is enthusiasts riffing on the theme of a famous writer. This re-emphasises certain passages, or gives a minor character a bigger role, or indulges in what-if speculation, sequels and prequels of a famous work. This tendency is most pronounced among pilgrims (in my experience) who can often be heard saying "I heard that..", before offering some highly contentious claim without any official source. Whether this is harmful or simply over-enthusiasm, is not my point, which is to question why people need regular upgrades from above on a subject that is not open for amendment?

    Robert just to clarify,
You state that Private Revelation is part of our Faith.
    (At 5 mins 22 seconds)
    Please could you clarify?
Do you mean private revelation is part of the Binding Fidei Depositum?
For example, having read the Original investigation into Lourdes in French, I have no doubt the apparitions at Lourdes are true. Heaven was giving its seal to the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception promulgated by Pius IX in 1854.
I don't believe in Medjugorje. Does that mean I cannot obtain Salvation?
This is an area which requires not a short one liner answer. A precise response clarifying what I've raised is needed.
    Souls are at stake.
    Salus Animarum Suprema Lex.
I read the Vulgate along with commentary by the Early Fathers.
I believe never having read Valtorta, that we can become Saints. Look at the Tyburn Martyrs.

      @thecatholicman  Місяць тому +1

That private revelation is part of the binding deposit of the fact is a fact. I mean it’s possibility, but also we are not obligated to believe in private revelation. But we have to accept as Catholics that it’s possible.

The luxury of a lay position, is we do not have to guess at the veracity or otherwise of Marian visions. In a 1985 letter to Cardinal Siri, Archbishop of Genoa, then-Cardinal Ratzinger as prefect of the CDF, said the following about the Poem of the Man God
“A decision against distributing and recommending a work which has not been lightly condemned may be reversed but only after profound changes that neutralize the harm which such publication could bring forth among the ordinary faithful.
[The Poem of the Man God has already been] examined scientifically and placed in a well known category of mental sicknesses…The facts added to the second edition do not change the nature of the work, which evidences being a mountain of childishness, of fantasies and of historical and exegetical falsehoods, diluted in a subtly sensual atmosphere, through the presence of a group of women in the company of Jesus. On the whole, it is a heap of pseudo religiosity. Therefore, also for the second edition the judgment to condemn it retains its validity.”
I find it troubling that Robert is so carelessly promoting something that has been repeatedly condemned by the Church!

Valtorta's Revelation gave me a picture of the real personality of Jesus. It gave me the same instructions the disciples received while they were with Jesus. I thought I knew my Catholic Faith until I studied "The Gospel as it was Revealed to me." It is the fountainhead of information on Christianity. I discovered that Felix of Endor wrote down many of the sermons he heard Jesus give the people--thus the written source biblical scholars deduce from their studies. And yes, Matthew wrote the First Gospel, not Mark. And the boy with the loaves and fishes--Jabez, was the adopted child of Peter and his wife who were childless. Jabez became Martial, the first bishop of Limoges and was martyred there. And guess how the Church took root at Antioch? The Revelation gives us so many threads and so many answers to so many questions. Please read this wonder from God's Right Hand. It transports us into another world.

The Vatican has denounced her writings as total fantasy fiction. Shame on you.

Nope, no such denouncement. In fact the opposite. www.valtorta.org.au/Defence/Maria%20Valtorta%20Summa%20&%20Encyclopedia.pdf

@tomthx5804 There is no such claim by the Vatican. In 1992, the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith gave permission to the laity to read the work of Valtorta if they wanted to. There is plenty of information on this if one really wants to research and get the facts. Decrevi is totally correct and gave a good resource if you actually care about the truth on this.

@@thecatholicman The Vatican has not explicitly labeled The Poem of the Man-God as “fantasy fiction,” but it has consistently raised concerns about its theological and historical reliability. The work has not been approved as an authentic private revelation, and the Church encourages the faithful to approach it with caution. While it is allowed for private reading, it should not be treated as divinely inspired or in line with Church doctrine.
