John Salley: 'No Way' '17 Warriors Beat '96 Bulls | TMZ Sports
/ tmzsports
Salley walked away from him like he was a crackhead askin' for a dime or something. LOL!!!
"..but they made 438 more 3-points.."
Yeah, good luck doing that with Jordan, Pippen and Ron Harper who had wingspans and athleticism that made it difficult for opposing backcourts even to just bring down the ball across halfcourt.
And Jordan being hyper competitive player he is would use it as motivation to destroy the Warriors on both ends of the court.
The one thing you cannot afford to do is give this guy a target to lock on and he will do everything to crush his opponents.
Warriors would absolutely destroy the 96 bulls and Jordan can be as competitive as he wants. Stephen klay and kd on one team is too much for anyone. Idgaf if they had Jordan or not
A team that fell behind 3-2 and had to rely on 27 straight misses from 3 to get back in the series, against a team missing their HOF PG... is going to beat a team that never sniffed a game 7 while dominating the toughest era in NBA history?
Sure... I buy that.
That's the 18 Warriors, the 17 Warriors went 16-1 in the playoffs.
17 warriors were down by 20ish points to the spurs and Kawhi Leonard at home before Big Goon Zaza took him out. Probably would of lost that series. So them vs Rodman, MJ, Pip, and Kukoc 4 hall of famers. No way . Bulls in 6 as usual.
Bulls in 4
5.
If hand checking is allowed I agree.. Gsw will cry on how bulls will throw body on them and steph won't get open looks coz defenders will hold him to catch up
Sal's Right
BULLS IN 3 MERCY RULE
DAYUM!!!!
So 3pts is gsw best offense? Really seriously? If MJ practiced his longrange everyday even curry will have a problem as Jordan will invite that kind of childish challenge and broke kd and curry in a game of competition with kerr! Shooting 3s was never Jordan's fav. Move cuz it will get dull his other moves, but still his good at it!
But he wasn’t good at it he never shot over 40% he played after 93 with now handcheck and still didn’t average no 40 points in they play today that bulls team isn’t beating the warriors it’s not even close to much shooting to much spacing pippen can’t cover Durant your high if u think so Harper was to old to cover curry I mean Isaiah Thomas lite up the bulls for 30 so many times it’s not even close and curry is deff better then Isaiah
If know basketball he a notorious mj hater.
Curry would catch a beatdown every game because he's too light. The Bulls would force him into the weight room, just as the Pistons did Michael. No contest. Bulls all day.
438 more 3 points?
Salley: he wouldn't have been allowed to dribble.
And Michael never played against a point guard who is as skillful as Curry and with that quick Release
@@clementoghosa9839 you are drunk. Curry was shut down by LBJ in 2016. LBJ is half the defender MJ, Pip, Harper, Rodman and Randy Brown were.
Hey man the worriors at full strength wouldn't be able to win 2 games and they would have had a hard time winning one game . in my heart I want to say they would have won one game off pure heart but even with today's rules with the no hand checking the bulls would have absolutely killed them .
Isaiah Thomas was better than Curry.
Clement Oghosa Jordan never played against a Point Guard as Skilled as Curry 👀👀😂😂 fuck I’m done 🤣 have you heard of Isiah Thomas from the Pistons or Tim hardaway please dismiss yourself from this argument 😂
No way! The 96 Bulls are bigger, smarter, better, more cerebral, mentally tougher and plays real defense.. Who would guard Jordan, Pippen and Kukoc without handchecking???? These 3 would collectively average 80 to 90 points for the Bulls. Seriously????? The smaller warriors wont have those 3 point looks that they have now...
In the same breath who's guarding Steph klay and KD? Kukoc won't be a factor
96 bulls will destroy warrior. Bulls will sweep the warriors without kd. With kd it will go to a 7 game. But the bulls will win.
96 would win easily
harry dawkins II
How please explain?
EatMyClick not easily but the 96 Bulls would win in 6
These GSW team today would have zero chance against the Bulls 1st 3peat before MJ retired to pursue Baseball.
I can go even way back, this GSW today would also have absolutely zero chance against the Bad Boys Detroit Pistons as that Bad Boys Pistons team of 89 and 90 were out for blood.
Heck this GSW team today can't and won't beat the 80's Celtics and Lakers dynasties.
'17 warriors can't even beat the '86 celtics
or the 08' celtics
Would the 96 bulls beat the 86 Celtics?
I think so.
@@mrhussain9008 no
96 bulls > 17 wars > 86 celts
Hand check, no hand check, don't matter -- MJ going for 70 a game in that series. Mediocre ass Warriors defense.
People forget kerr has the highest 3 point percentage of all time. Give him the green light to shoot more 3s and he will be a PROBLEM
I wonder how many of his 3s were open tho. Volume goes up, usually % will fall.
It would have ended the same, like all of the rest of teams. Bulls in 6.
Bulls in 7
Reporter no idea in the rules of the 80's and 90's compare now the defence is so much tight
Camera man sounds like a 3 year old.
Sally was on that bulls team too end of 95-96 season
While I do think GS wins 2 games, no way the Bulls let the Warriors take them to a game 7. GS would be out rebounded so badly in this matchup that it would be pathetic to watch at times. Half of the Bulls misses would just lead to an offensive rebound, and 2nd chance points. If the teams are allowed to hand-check, the Warriors will struggle to get good looks at the basket the whole series. If hand-checking is not allowed, MJ goes off for 50 points every single night while shooting 50%+ from the floor.... The Warriors are a GREAT team in this age where the team that comes out of the East wouldn't be in the top 3 in the West... But the matchups in this game are just horrible for GS.
I never understand the comparison, because the Warriors didn’t win the championship so they weren’t even the best team that year!
1996 bulls wins this in 7 high diff due for most overtime with clutch closest scores in 1 to 7 series
Jordan, pippen, Rodman defense will be the key.
best both on offence and deffence the 96 bulls was different
Not a chance
Warriors would sweep by 15/game
He said it like it is
I keep thinking that square to the right is an alley way. Trippy optical allusion
Y'all tripping, it's close. How do you stop their threes, it's not an easy win for either, y'all need to stop it
The defense would have killed golden Detroit and ny had to beat jordan down look what he did to teams before he got to N.Y. or Detroit walk in the park shack and penny should have played dirty he killed them
But yet the bulls went 7 games with the pacers? But they would cake walk gsw your crazy
@@johnjason7385 Pacers went to 7 games against a 35 Jordan and old Bulls in 98 with Pippen missing 44 games due to injury. Plus Reggie Miller, Mullen and Jackson etc were a good team who went to the Nba finals in the early 2000s.
No way either of those teams beat the 1965 Celtics, the 1967 76ers or Celtics, the 1980 lakers or Celtics, the 86 Celtics or the 87 lakers
lol
Steph, Klay, and KD would overwhelm them with 3s. Steph, Klay, and KD get a lot of their threes through screens negating the physicality. Warriors EASY
funny because he seems to go out of his way to throw shade at Jordan.
I know. Just goes to show how overrated this era's GS team is.
@@meg-k-waldren Gs with cousins would kill 96 bulls. No matter what era.
Jahleel you lost all credibility with that comment
@@JahleelX-xx9wd cousins w GS lost the championship to the Raptors the f--k you are yapping about lmao
Bulls sweep Warriors! Perhaps a better comparison is the 86' Boston Celtics against the 96' Chicago Bulls! I believe the Bulls win in their usual 6 games or less! Friend of mine who was a Celtics fan said this: aside from MJ at shooting guard, what other position was Chicago better at? 1) Robert Parish vs Luc Longley at center? 2) Larry Bird vs Scottie Pippen at small forward? 3) Kevin McHale vs Dennis Rodman at power forward? 4) Dennis Johnson vs Ron Harper at point guard? At center - no contest - R.Parrish! At small forward - Bird! At power forward - could go either way! At point guard - probably DJ! His contention was the Celtics were the better team which was probably true! Remember though, the comments of ESPN analyst Steven A: "During the 90's it can truthfully be said that while other teams may have been the better team, they lost because they didn't have MJ"! If you go only by roster; the 91' Lakers, the 92' Blazers, the 96' Sonics probably all had the better teams: "but, they didn't have MJ"! In my 40 years of watching the NBA, that scenario also holds true for every past, present, & (likely) future comparison: "they may have been the better team, but they didn't have MJ"!
Yeah 86 celtics would b tough to beat
This is laughable, in what world is the bulls with only 1 great scorer who cant shoot 3s is outscoring a team with 3 all time shooters/scorers. "well with 90s rules, the bulls win". The 90s rules would give the warriors more of an advantage due to zones being considered illegal and the 3 pt line being moved up. Imagine trying to guard that team with no zones and a shortened 3 pt line. The bulls would get swept so bad jordan would retire after the first game.
Warrior's are more athletic. Facts! Draymond is unstoppable. Facts.
2enchant yea and draymond would have got mind fuck by Rodman and get suspended. Dennis would toy with draymond to the point he would cry and purposely get himself suspended just to save himself the embarrassment of taking on Rodman
Fred Dukeduong I just laugh at the people who forgot Dennis faced HAKEEM, YOUNG SHAQ, Karl Malone and others and grabbed 15-20 rebounds on those hall of Famers while holding his own. Green isn't a problem for Rodman AT ALL.
lmao rodman gonna be balls deep in draymond's head. draymond wouldn't even make it out of first quarter first game without trying to kick rodman in the nuts.
96 bulls in 4
You must be drunk. Facts.
@2enchant go FUCK yourself. 😅
Olajuwon Rockets whipped 96' Bulls
What are you even talking about? They never played one another.... Why? Because Jordan was playing baseball when Dream won his rings..m Why not when Jordan came back? Because Hakeem was getting beat in the West by the teams Jordan was destroying in the Finals....
@@mattlauderdale8363 you are wrong and that guy too coz Bulls win championship in 96 lol, it's 94 where Jordan retire and back in 95 but lose to Orlando magic
@@iloveihate5685 How so? 93-94 season, Jordan was retired and playing baseball.... 94-95 season, most people don't really count as Jordan returned for 17 only games, while not being in basketball shape, and then lost against a loaded Orlando team in the ECSF (which the Bulls had no right to be in considering that team was a shell if it's former self). From that point on, Jordan's Bulls dominated the league for the next 3 years.... and Houston always lost against teams they should have beaten in the West if they were as special of a team as some seam to claim.
Curry > Jordan, Pippen and Rodman COMBINED. He’s got a crossover and 3 point shot. Don’t @ me
I agree like i think blake bortles will retire with more sbs than brady
'17 GS best team of all time
Funny)))
'17 GS best team.....of THIS time.
Jassi G bulls would smash them. Bulls too tough defensively
Jassi G take yo 21 year old arse on somewhere
best **offensive** team of all time. They're mediocre defensively in an already shitty non-defensive era.
