  • How to Aim in Tennis- MUST WATCH!!!
When I ask players how do you aim or what makes the ball go where it goes? Players usually say you aim with your body. Think for a moment what makes the ball behave the way it does on every shot? Do you know the answer? Well, believe it or not you definitely do not aim with your body. Sure there are factors that sometimes play a small role and even once in a while a big role. Things such as the weather, your racquet and strings and the court surface just to name a few. You see, there are 5 ball characteristics or 5 things you can change about the ball. You can change the balls height, speed, depth, direction, spin and speed. So the million dollar question is what makes the ball go where it goes? Well, your gonna have to watch the video to find out ;) It's probably not what you think or theres things you haven't considered. Whatever the case this stuff can really help your game in a big way. I mean aiming is important right? You wanna be able to keep the ball in the court and make fewer errors then your opponent as well as make your opponent run. You must be able to hit the ball from anywhere on the court to anywhere on the court and I'm gonna give you the tools to do just that. I think this video is so valuable that I could have easily made it a paid course. Yeah, it's that good. But you be the judge, check it out. The crazy thing is its such a simple concept and it is THE biggest on really the only true fundamental in tennis yet it seems that nobody including coaches are talking about it. Could it be that its so obvious that you don't even see it when it hits you in the face? I'm excited about this video because so many people struggle with this and they don't even know it. I'm gonna help you to not only get more power and spin and control but also teach you how to know why you missed a shot and how to correct it. Yo will learn why there is no such thing as perfect technique and you will learn how to adapt different strokes technique to the task at hand. Let the tactic determine the technique. I will show you a simple drill to work on target practice and explain why having very specific targets are crucial. No more endless practices of just rallying with no target besides getting it in the court. This video has so many great tips and tricks that its like having 10 quality tennis lessons in one video. Not just that but you get to give yourself your own lesson with my explanation on how to diagnose where and why your making errors. You will find out the number 1 problem in all levels of tennis that causes you to make tons of errors. Learn how to deal with high short balls and fast deep balls and low short balls. Learn how to volley like a champion with super simple technical fixes. Sounds too good to be true? You gotta click the video to find out! Oh and make sure to watch the 2nd half of the video as that is definitely the best part. Also enjoy the slow motion footage and voice overlay. Please comment and let me know what you think of the video. ENJOY!!!

Thanks Jeremy. Another great video. The highlight for me was the need for “being in position with balance” above everything else. And I wish you had added: to achieve this you need stamina and strong legs in other words off court training.

Perfect stuff, this. I watch a lot of tennis teaching videos. Some coaches are just procuring the right ideas, many not. Great compliment to you. E.g. I ne er could do forehand volleys with a true c grip, and changed intuitively into the direction forehand. By the way, you seem to use Solinco Hyper G?!F From the sound, I guess about 27 kg?

Good video with a lot of content. However I thought by the title of the video you would talk more about direction of the shot. It's more concerned with control. You should do one on directing a forehand and/or backhand. Thanks.

Great video and I completely agree with the last part about position, balance and racquet awareness.
I have an idea for a video you can make in the future if you are interested, something that I don't see many videos of at all on youtube.
Its tactics and patterns of play, like really going deep into some good patterns of play, like slice out wide on deuce, and then what options you should do depending on the position of the opponent and how well you hit it and where the return drops to.

    Great video coach!
This video integrates everything that brings about control.
Can’t have those commanding shots until you understand your weakness that could be either position, balance & biomechanics (racket’s angle, swing path).
This video redirects my focus. Gracias mucho senor!

When my ball is going long what I do is change the grip of the racquet to hit the ball vertical at the contact point, meaning I move my hand more to the right of the handle (I'm right handed) more Eastern grip.

Amazing video, thanks for producing it. Is it generally possible/desirable to have swing path and a racket angle such that racket speed can vary independently (without the ball going out)? Is this something to practice or develop a "sense of"?

Such a good video covering so many key areas. Have you made the video regarding awareness of the racket position? This is something I've been thinking about a lot recently (particularly with regards to where the head of the racket is at different points of the overhead swing path) so I'm looking forward to that!
