- How to Aim in Tennis- MUST WATCH!!!
When I ask players how do you aim or what makes the ball go where it goes? Players usually say you aim with your body. Think for a moment what makes the ball behave the way it does on every shot? Do you know the answer? Well, believe it or not you definitely do not aim with your body. Sure there are factors that sometimes play a small role and even once in a while a big role. Things such as the weather, your racquet and strings and the court surface just to name a few. You see, there are 5 ball characteristics or 5 things you can change about the ball. You can change the balls height, speed, depth, direction, spin and speed. So the million dollar question is what makes the ball go where it goes? Well, your gonna have to watch the video to find out ;) It's probably not what you think or theres things you haven't considered. Whatever the case this stuff can really help your game in a big way. I mean aiming is important right? You wanna be able to keep the ball in the court and make fewer errors then your opponent as well as make your opponent run. You must be able to hit the ball from anywhere on the court to anywhere on the court and I'm gonna give you the tools to do just that. I think this video is so valuable that I could have easily made it a paid course. Yeah, it's that good. But you be the judge, check it out. The crazy thing is its such a simple concept and it is THE biggest on really the only true fundamental in tennis yet it seems that nobody including coaches are talking about it. Could it be that its so obvious that you don't even see it when it hits you in the face? I'm excited about this video because so many people struggle with this and they don't even know it. I'm gonna help you to not only get more power and spin and control but also teach you how to know why you missed a shot and how to correct it. Yo will learn why there is no such thing as perfect technique and you will learn how to adapt different strokes technique to the task at hand. Let the tactic determine the technique. I will show you a simple drill to work on target practice and explain why having very specific targets are crucial. No more endless practices of just rallying with no target besides getting it in the court. This video has so many great tips and tricks that its like having 10 quality tennis lessons in one video. Not just that but you get to give yourself your own lesson with my explanation on how to diagnose where and why your making errors. You will find out the number 1 problem in all levels of tennis that causes you to make tons of errors. Learn how to deal with high short balls and fast deep balls and low short balls. Learn how to volley like a champion with super simple technical fixes. Sounds too good to be true? You gotta click the video to find out! Oh and make sure to watch the 2nd half of the video as that is definitely the best part. Also enjoy the slow motion footage and voice overlay. Please comment and let me know what you think of the video. ENJOY!!!

Jose Sanabre why thank you ☺️
you addressed some of the common mistakes we do and explained very well. Thank you
Srini Viswanathan Happy to help 👍
Thanks for watching
Jeremy, you are a genius at breaking the game down.
Why is it that I can aim the serve when serving at 30 mph but lose the aim at 70 mph?
good stuff ...excellent ... you are a very good teacher/coach
He doesn't look like a typical player or a YT Tennis pro. However his lessons are excellent and love this dude. He doesn't show he is the authority in Tennis, simple teaches them.
P PMN thank you 👍
This is the kind of explanation I have been looking for, systematic and analytical. Thank you so much!
Great video. This one highlights the different degrees and out comes of the high to low swing path that was never so well demonstrated in the many years of private lessens. I now plan use to your tips to improve my game. Well done. Thank you.
Masterpiece.
You have pretty well described my lastest golf lesson. I will watch this video many more times to absorbed your instructions. The fix is what I’ve been working on in golf. Now I see how it also works in tennis. Thank you
Dunbar Dio my pleasure, good luck!
Great video 👍
Dunbar, as a fellow golfer - how does angle, stroke path and stroke length connect with golf?
Please keep making more videos. These videos are so great
And at the end of the video, I felt like Po receiving master Shifu's lesson about inner peace (Kung Fu Panda 2). Thank you for teaching tennis in a integral and comprehensive way.
I know im randomly asking but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Zakai London instablaster ;)
Nice to learn this things. I have to watch the video several times to apply everything.
Thank you very much very very nice very professional you are a talented coach and your students is very happy to have you
,,
Thank you for explaining the science of it. Wonderful lesson and I appreciate it very much !
SUPER informative video, excellenty explaind and GOOD examples.... Thank You
This is the most comprehensive video i have seen on technique...u rock bro.
SriOm Chand thanks mate
Thanks Jeremy. Another great video. The highlight for me was the need for “being in position with balance” above everything else. And I wish you had added: to achieve this you need stamina and strong legs in other words off court training.
Yucel Guldali yes, the key to that is to read the ball well and early and be low and wide with your athletic base.
Perfect stuff, this. I watch a lot of tennis teaching videos. Some coaches are just procuring the right ideas, many not. Great compliment to you. E.g. I ne er could do forehand volleys with a true c grip, and changed intuitively into the direction forehand. By the way, you seem to use Solinco Hyper G?!F From the sound, I guess about 27 kg?
Nice strokes!! Best of all youtube coaches. Excellent videos also. One of the top 3,imo.
frank mancuso Thank you Frank
Hi Jeremy, love your videos. Can we get a lesson on doing high forehand shots? Watched so many videos but will like your perspective on it. Thanks
sope ketiku absolutely will do in the future
Good video with a lot of content. However I thought by the title of the video you would talk more about direction of the shot. It's more concerned with control. You should do one on directing a forehand and/or backhand. Thanks.
thx this is great!!
great video, i see it at 1.5 speed.
you explain it great. good job
Great video and I completely agree with the last part about position, balance and racquet awareness.
I have an idea for a video you can make in the future if you are interested, something that I don't see many videos of at all on youtube.
Its tactics and patterns of play, like really going deep into some good patterns of play, like slice out wide on deuce, and then what options you should do depending on the position of the opponent and how well you hit it and where the return drops to.
Alen X hi, thanks Alen. I have a few doubles strategy videos already posted but would like to do something like that for singles sometime. Thanks for the idea 👍
Great video coach!
This video integrates everything that brings about control.
Can’t have those commanding shots until you understand your weakness that could be either position, balance & biomechanics (racket’s angle, swing path).
This video redirects my focus. Gracias mucho senor!
guest16163 thanks mate
Fantastic tips.
Hi Nguyen thanks!
What a phenomenal instruction. Your channel is totally undervalued. Thank you. BTW, I bought your serve course and it is so detailed and thorough, thank you, Jeremy!
When my ball is going long what I do is change the grip of the racquet to hit the ball vertical at the contact point, meaning I move my hand more to the right of the handle (I'm right handed) more Eastern grip.
Hi Jeremy: It would be more instructive to WATCH you HIT the balls and watch WHERE they land ..That is directly opposite your side of the court ..
Muchas gracias !! Excellent video ..Congrats André
really learning a lot from your videos
awesome amount of fundamentals, thanks you!
Highly recommended video, thank you!
jsh zhou thanks, spread the word!
Miss your videos, Jeremy! Hope all is well with you 🔆💪🤙🙏
Excellent, comprehensive content!!
Thank you very much. Love your content.
Chan Suri thanks for the support 👍
Good learning from your videos👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏
Great effort and I benefit so much!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello when getting in position a players should stay ready for a fast ball this is done with a good athletic stance.
Super great video (as alweays) About the feeling when vollying ,some coaches talking about " the deadgrip " .I looks forinsteans when seeing Federe (and you) i slomo , the racket
goes a little back just after contact.(recruche) but its happening because you have the right tension in your grip I gess?
Hi,Jeremy.I am always waiting your vedio.as usual very detailed information.thanks for shering
Vikramaditya Kumar Happy to hear, thanks!
Another great video Jeremy!
It would be better if you make frontal and lateral/diagonal record of the swing path.
Keep up the work you are the best channel!
Talles Takagi thanks for advice 👍
just excellent ! no need to say anything else
Amazing video, thanks for producing it. Is it generally possible/desirable to have swing path and a racket angle such that racket speed can vary independently (without the ball going out)? Is this something to practice or develop a "sense of"?
More of slice volley - effective but not easy.
Great video, lots of info, nice job.
Edward Xu thank you Edward
What your videos every time. Thanks!
deemahdee thx!!
Great video thanks
Hien Nguyen you are welcome 👍
Super Video thank you very much
khanh doan My pleasure.

Hey what strings do you use on your racket???
Could you do a video on returning second serves? And keep the good work ❤️❤️❤️
sai adith yes! Will do 👍
@@FundamentalTennis Thank you. I am looking forward to it.
Such a good video covering so many key areas. Have you made the video regarding awareness of the racket position? This is something I've been thinking about a lot recently (particularly with regards to where the head of the racket is at different points of the overhead swing path) so I'm looking forward to that!
Max Renn thanks! Not yet. I may do it this weekend
Tnx v much
Dnomde Lopez my pleasure.
This Head 360 speed has the same access spin and Power that pure aero? Congratulations for your videos
I felt your monotone delivery did not inspire me & listening to u made me feel so so tired! Sorry:(((
How to control the ball? The answer is don't try to control the ball.
Just demonstrate the correct way. showing the wrong way is a waste of time to one who does not much have patience to watch the video.
Fantastic and helpful video, thank you! btw... what string/lbs are you using? I just started using the Speed Pro and my spin is struggling with 18x20 pattern (previously 16x19 only).
Garth Zoller hi! Happy you enjoyed the video. I use Solinco hyper - G 17g at 48lbs.
