This is clickbait nonsense. Chomsky is a self declared anarchist and freely advocates anarcho syndicalist solutions. He advocates direct democracy and is entirely solution focused in his approach. This is what guides the subjects of his interest and research. He is fundementally a pacifist and a believer of inquisitorial rather than adversarial activity. He recognises that the world is fundementally an unfair place where power and control is wielded by the selfish and greedy. In essence he knows that one person's needs should not trump another's and that Universal need is a legitimate endeavour, however he also realises the limitations of his influence. He is hiding nothing!
@@jakedominguez-x5k You have misunderstood, misinterpreted and misreported Chomsky's reflections on the Bosnian war. His comments concerned the specific use of the word and the specific motivation of the perpetrators. You should be more cognisant of context.
@@jakedominguez-x5k You are not even trying to understand. I'm not sure which photos you are referring to, nor the reference where this is alleged. There is no doubt that an attempt at 'ethnic cleansing' was made, Chomsky's objection as far as I understand was in relation to the blanket use of a specific term used out of context. Villifying one of the most respected and acomplished intellectuals of the 20th century is not a productive end or means.
@ you feel the way you feel precisely because you don’t what I’m talking about. You don’t know much of anything, but you sure do love your heroes. Zip it back up when you’re done by the way, the good doctor needs his tool tucked in.
There's a deep connection that Chomsky actually denies or greatly downplays between some of the better pedagogical insights of John Dewey and his own pedagogical and political philosophy. Noam read a lot of Walter Lippmann as a kid and I think as a kind of self-loathing in regard to how influenced he actually is by some of what Lippmann had to offer. I think Noam actually tried really hard to be influenced by a continental current of theoric discourse but got put off for a number of reasons- one of them being the abstract non-coherence of some of what we were dealing with at the time. Noam gets accused of a kind of toxic over extension of plurality (so did Dick Rorty; go figure) and even amongst some as paralleling or echoing the sentiments of the postmodern current or the Frankfurt School. Benjamin might have had an influence but the sentiment is misguided.
You can ask this question for everyone - everyone hides something for a reason. And the generic effect of asking such a question is to raise doubts about a person. That's what you want to do obviously. Or should I return your question to yourself? What are YOU hiding and why ?
This is not accurate. When asked about his "silence on other countries commiting human rights abuses", something that happened many times. His answer was simple: He said that when you live in an advanced democracy you have the ability to influence decision making structures, by using liberties such as freedom of speech and civil disobedience. Basically he always said that you can only ask for change to your own government when it has the power to change things.
This looks like an AI generated video with a click bait title and questionable content.

Imagine your years of intellectualism being so influential the ops gotta send fake accounts to make fake posts decrying you
AI-generated obfuscation of Chomsky's actual weakness as an establishment gatekeeper.
What would Chomsky think if he saw AI generated slop being used to harass his memory as he spends his last few years in quiet?
You're just an AI algorithm whose pissed off that Chomsky doesn't think much about AI.

You can't claim it's futile, you don't know what the world would look like if nobody did so in the first place.
Question everything.

It's definitely bs, that's for certain.
It's too bad how he acted during Covid, I never felt the same for him since.
That was the biggest give away...the simplest IQ test and he failed and then that weird connection to Epstein...here goes another sacred cow!
