6:27 - The best bit!
I love the axle-whine that these Tridents produce when accelerating and decelerating; Such a nice sound! 👌
Absolutely!
I wondered what the buses noises sound like.this reminds me of the 345
No electric or hybrid will ever beat the sound of a fully diesel ADL E400. RIP TEs
This was an E in London but still, I agree with the sentiment 😉
The voith ones are better than zfs no arguments allowed
nah its not the best thing out there
A CNG E400 would be better.
@@LJ07EBP Word.
This represents London in the good old days. We only have a few rail replacement e400 voiths in go ahead London tucked away in a few garages
A music to my ears 🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Bus and the bus is a good idea and I have been working on and the first one I have to work on the same as my old one is the same Car for yy months of my car insurance is the first date
this is why i love these e400s, amazing buses.. sound great, fast and just simple enjoyment out of them
Awesome sound! I sure do miss hearing it in Bromley though.....
That sounded like quite a peaceful commute home
Beautiful sounding bus.
6:27 it reminds me of plaxton presidents😢
Now that’s bluddy fast! and a nice sounding for a voith! Also love your new channel picture 😉
Thanks pal ;-)
Absolutely amazing 🤩
I love how so many old gal buses have a new life somewhere else
They’re still going strong! We recently acquired a bunch of 67 plate ZF ones!
@@ThePlymouthRoadSurfer nice
Great video.☺️
Great kickdowns thanks for uploading
You’re welcome! :-)
I love theses Euro 4 voiths with full kickdown, great video btw
Thanks dude!
Love this stagecoach north east have an ex Manchester bus with lovely kickdown
Amazing video. Ear pleasing asf
I’m glad you enjoyed it ;-)
These Alexander Dennis buses sound distinctive (Cummins engine + Gyro Drive)
Fabulous video! Sadly we have none of these in Manchester😡
You have 140 of them all same spec
Love it!
First bus returning! First SW new registrations show return of Transmoor link as their first Plymouth registration. Plymouth Royal Parade to Exeter via Tavistock, Princetown and Two Bridges starting 12 February. Now called Dartmoor Explorer. Hopefully 1st of many to come but confirm First return to this side of Tamar
When this bus idles and when it changes gears
What a beast. I guess it's no surprise these are my favourite example of E400s. I sure do miss them on route 196 and 37. Seems to be doing so well in Plymouth so I'm happy about that. Definitely looking forward to riding them again
They’re certainly doing well down here, this one in particular arrived in Plymouth with the 37 to Peckham blind on it :-)
Do you know if this one got it's doors removed by now? I've seen photos and videos of other who has but I don't know how long this one has been here.
Also if you didn't know, the GAL SN06s were 196 allocated, and the LX06s were 37 allocated (apart from one [E38 LX06KFN]) which was for 196. Either way I do miss them very much. Hopefully I get to ride them again sometime soon!
Oh I see! And yes it’s been single door converted, the only one not converted is E54, E29 and E30. E29 and E30 are now open top.
Manchester has loads of voith tridents going around south manchester. I wasnt sure which gearbox was which but this sound is very familiar to me
@@mroscar323_6 Almost all Stagecoach E400s (except the Scanias) are Voith
Awesome
Nice🤩🥰
Healthy sounding!
Shame it isn’t like this now, it, along with some other Ex London 400’s, have this weird thing where they only accelerate well up a hill or when there is substantial load, but on the straight or downhill you get next to zero throttle? Ever had that happen to you before?
@@ThePlymouthRoadSurfer It's been stuck in Cornwallfor 4 months now!
Why do these sound like a SC ALX400 when they slow down fast?
Well they are predecessors of the ALX400’s, these ADL Enviro400’s replaced the ALX400’s but have similar engines but more modernised.
It’s crazy how much difference there is in these enviro 400s… we’ve got some 58 plate ones with voith boxes and some 65 plate ones with ZF boxes. The 58 plates are absolutely rapid just like this one in ur vid, they’re fantastic to drive, but the 65 plates are usually very sluggish. We’ve had 1 with an engine rebuild that’s quite nippy, but most the others are pretty slow
Euro 4 ones are unrestricted.
The Euro 5 2012 plate ones on the route 36 in london sounds so weak and sluggish
can some some on tell me how to find the Specs of all busis by the reg plate
Where is that? I want to get on one of those Enviro 400s!!! Nice Video by the way!
Thank you! Plymouth in Devon, UK 😊
nice
Even StreetLites have screaming GyroDrive flywheels
That's one if the London Buses.
It is indeed, she’s in good hands down here in Plymouth :-)
Exactly like stagecoach e400’s
It look like a huracàn Evo moter sound
Nice music! 😂
Thank you :-)
it soundid like an hybrid
From still to full speed i guess about 7...8 sec ( 80 km/hour ) De Ambassador in the Netherlands needs a calendar to mesure the acceleration from 0 to 80 km/hour
😂😂😂😂
Will there be another upload?
I’ll be honest bud, probably not. This channel is dead now, the younger generation can have the crown now, i’m too busy driving coaches around the UK and Europe to be spending hours upon hours editing the videos I used to make 😂
That must have been rengined as Euro 4 engines didn't come out til 2007. No matter what gearbox the 6.7 Euro ISBe or what bus it's fitted too they go really well. A re engined Plaxton President with a high ratio back axle still goes like shit off a shovel with that engine and will just keep pulling til it runs out of road.
Nah its not re engined these lx06 were the first batch of euro 4 buses new to London, the whole batch has euro 4 engines, there are more batch of buses in london built in 2006 and have euro 4 engines like the lx56 and lj56 , euro 4 was actually available since 2006 but only london oparators hapend to buy them at that time and the other UK operators happened to start buying them in 2007.
I agree about the the cummunis 6.7 ISBe engine it's the best engine in my opinion it super smooth and buses equipped with that engine are the fastest and quickest of the mark
@@TransbusTrident Just like how London United had an experimental Euro 3 Trident on X reg plate! I think Nottingham City Transport’s W reg Lolynes were new as Euro 3 but not sure, I’m sure I’ve seen a video of one with Euro 3 engines. I know there have never been any Euro 2 Tridents at National Express West Midlands, all of theirs were Euro 3 from new even Y-TOHs as you know
The Euro 3 Cummins ISCe was definitely available before 2001, first trialled around 1999 but not properly developed until 2000 I think. Quite possible development of the Euro 4 ISBe started around 2005, ready for use in 2006 but I couldn’t say for sure
It's a brilliant engine
I remember this on the pr3 because you said it was meant to have 474
I remember that, 474 back then was awful hahaha
sounds like enviro 300
Makes sense as it has the same engine, a 6.7L Cummins ISB 😊
It has that bin truck engine
@New Routemaster Fan Why do you think that ALL E400 Tridents sound like Bin lorries?
*School buses/Ram trucks because of the Cummins engine
@@eaglehousewasteservices1709 no not all of them
@@membershipofbus understandable Have a great Day
6.7L Cummins ISB mate yes :-)
Better than e40d
