I loved the video version done by the incredible James Theil, in which the editing of the entire performance, particularly the inclusion of baby Angelina's performance, was nothing short of brilliant. I also love this one, because her vocals sounded just a bit clearer to my old ears, especially her beautiful falsetto ending. But that's just me. I don't think it is possible for me to not love anything by Angelina, this Heaven's Child. And I also can't help but love your heart-on-your-sleeve reaction, which I believe mirrored the reactions of all of her devoted Angels, except that just maybe, some of us had more uncontrollable tear glands...😊

At soon to be 19, there’s not a better live singer on the planet. Her studio recordings are good, but Jordan simply comes alive and goes into another world when she’s on stage. The songs are never the same, not even the way they were rehearsed, she always changes them up in one way or another, usually towards the end. This comes from her introduction to jazz as a 2 or 3 year old by Grandma Mery and teaching herself how to sing by watching UA-cam videos with Mery of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dinah Washington etc and training her vocal cords to almost exactly copy the vocals of these iconic jazz icons. She later learned she could do this with almost any singer alive, including Whitney Houston, Adele, Leslie Gore, Lana del Rey, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Lou Rawls, Michael Jackson, Gloria Gaynor ( at 10 her cover is hard to tell them apart), and Jordan even sings Elvis in his original key. Her cover of Love Me Tender at about 11 or 12 outshines even the king’s. You should check that out some time. Just her and a guitar, truly mind boggling, you don’t have to react to it, just thought you’d really enjoy the brilliance of this performance. I just listened to Sohyang’s version, and while she seems more interested in performing vocal theatrics to show off her immense talent instead of telling the story of the song and producing some emotion with her singing, I’ll take Jordan’s version every time, telling the story from her heart, making us feel the song emotionally, and not just hearing it as if it meant absolutely nothing to the artist, which it apparently didn’t to Sohyang. She’s 41 in this video, being out sung by an 18 year old on an emotional and story telling level is not a good look. Jordan’s vocal abilities aren’t even close to being fully developed yet, so let’s not even go there. It was bad enough when people were comparing her at 12 to 29 year old Whitney Houston when she sang I Who Have Nothing to a backing track, and said she’d never be as good as Whitney. Well, she’s still got 10 years of development till 29. We’ll see who has the last laugh! Unfortunately, I won’t be around, but I won’t need to be to see how this story ends!

Angelina either suffers from bad luck or poor publicity. She can out sing Grace VanderWaal any day of the week, yet Grace is getting all the attention, and "BAD VALENTINE" from Angelina which was supposed to be her "Breakout" song fell by the way side. At soon to be 19, there’s not a better live singer on the planet. Her studio recordings are good, but Jordan simply comes alive and goes into another world when she’s on stage. The songs are never the same, not even the way they were rehearsed, she always changes them up in one way or another, usually towards the end. This comes from her introduction to jazz as a 2 or 3 year old by Grandma Mery and teaching herself how to sing by watching UA-cam videos with Mery of Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dinah Washington etc and training her vocal cords to almost exactly copy the vocals of these iconic jazz icons. She later learned she could do this with almost any singer alive, including Whitney Houston, Adele, Leslie Gore, Lana del Rey, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Lou Rawls, Michael Jackson, Gloria Gaynor ( at 10 her cover is hard to tell them apart), and Jordan even sings Elvis in his original key. Her cover of Love Me Tender at about 11 or 12 outshines even the king’s. You should check that out some time. Just her and a guitar, truly mind boggling, you don’t have to react to it, just thought you’d really enjoy the brilliance of this performance. I really enjoy your reactions to this Child of the Light and I wish you the most abundant New Year.
We are living in a time of Darkness and Jordan was sent by the Light to aid humanity in its time of need. She is not alone, others that come to mind are Scottie Scheffler in golf, Caitlin Clark in women’s basketball, 18 year old Alma Deutscher in Classical Music, Putri Ariana and Billie Eilish in pop music. There should be 32 Children of Light around the world, who are kept asleep in the Halls of Amenti, until the 12 Lords who rule over the Halls decide they are needed by mankind in a time of deep Darkness. They come, they are here for as long as necessary to accomplish their individual mission, and then return to sleep in the Halls until needed again by humanity. It’s been this way since the Dawn of Mankind! This is as written by Thoth the Atlantean in one of the 15 Emerald Tablets he composed.

I just listened to Sohyang’s version, and while she seems more interested in performing vocal theatrics to show off her immense talent instead of telling the story of the song and producing some emotion with her singing, I’ll take Jordan’s version every time, telling the story from her heart, making us feel the song emotionally, and not just hearing it as if it meant absolutely nothing to the artist, which it apparently didn’t to Sohyang. She’s 41 in this video, being out sung by an 18 year old on an emotional and story telling level is not a good look. Jordan’s vocal abilities aren’t even close to being fully developed yet, so let’s not even go there. It was bad enough when people were comparing her at 12 to 29 year old Whitney Houston when she sang I Who Have Nothing to a backing track, and said she’d never be as good as Whitney. Well, she’s still got 10 years of development till 29. We’ll see who has the last laugh! Unfortunately, I won’t be around, but I won’t need to be to see how this story ends!

@@ClandOp Sohyang's voice is just good, not great. Angelina's voice is top tier, in some of her songs, such as "YOU SAY" she is in "Goddess" voice.

Angelina either suffers from bad luck or poor publicity. She can out sing Grace VanderWaal any day of the week, yet Grace is getting all the attention, and "BAD VALENTINE" from Angelina which was supposed to be her "Breakout" song fell by the way side. Angelina needs a "Col. Parker" of her own like Elvis had.
