Another awesome playthrough! I've been playing through season 3/4 and they add so much more great stuff to the game. I'll be waiting for your next video!
Wrote a comment and then it fell into a portal to R'yleh and I can't remember what it was I asked you😫😫 I do remember saying it was a great playthrough and loads of fun, though! Thanks Colin!
Crazy playthrough Colin. CDMD is always a treat. Fyi: that 8A tile is actually two spaces. At 11:40, you can see that there are two arrows pointing to each other which signifies a doorway. You play the Stars Starspawn right over them a few seconds later.
Great video - lots of fun - nailbiting ending! btw - I believe that tiles connected by tunnels/stairs are considered adjacent (45:40 - where the caption questions if Adam can shoot through the tunnel - I believe he can :-) )
Muwhahahaha The Old One prevailed now dreaming pleasant dreams in R'lyeh :P Thanks for playing my favourite game Colin! Wish you better luck next time :D Still waiting for my S3&S4 but finally played Lost Episode 8 from the Comic Book Special 2. Got our a$$es handed to us despite GM manipulations (we love to play at 5 players + GM handling the Mythos) :D Strangely this was the first scenario I ever played because we picked at random. Albert Einstein and Hemmingway faced of against Cthulhu. In the end it came down to Albert pulling everything away and sacrificing himself to the Starspawn so Hemmingway could deal the final blow ... Epic first play :D I still suspect we won because things got overlooked but oh well it was such fun ^^ Lost this 4x vs 3 wins and think this scenario plays best at full player count :)
That is so freaking awesome!!! I do love how this game almost always comes down to an epic fight, best part of the game!!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
That upgrade components is awesome. Really love to have them, but the shipping cost made me think twice since i live on the other side of planet 😢😂. However, may we have more this awesome Cthulu:DMD, sir? Pwease...?😊
Honestly not bothered by the lack of flavor text at the beginning. I find myself skipping past some of that in a lot of gameplay videos out there. I'm here to see the game, not have story time 🤣 great stuff as always!
Any tips on how to at least have a chance in this game? I played a couple scenarios recently that just destroyed me. It truly felt like we were doomed from the start. :)
It is a hard one!! I'd say making sure utilizing all your actions effectively. Being able to move enemies off of other characters is essential! Try playing with characters that have brawling, marksman, and swift. That can really help as well!! Also if you've only played scenario 1 episode 1 that one is BRUTAL! Try a different scenario as well!! Good luck!!!!
Fight dudes that you can clear without taking dmg, but take tentaclesr to gain upgrades. Don't fear the upgrade track! Trying to minimize the tentacles to forgo upgrades but not lose that way is a fool's errand, generally the tight rope is safer when you have more power to manipulate what your investigator's skills are. If you have no idea, have at least one gator with brawler track and upgrade that should get you started. Everything is viable, but that is the most straightforward win mode. Time the insanities to be helpful when you are on the verge of triggering them. A lot of them have timing issues to think about where they actually help you rather than hinder. Resting so that you have the stress buffer to always be able to take discovery tokens is also important. Otherwise what was the point with all that clearing of enemies! 😱
Don't know at what player count you played. This game so lives of the synergy and variety of skills. Generally I think it plays best at 4-5 players. Also chances strongly depend on the Old One you chose and a bit of luck in the item distribution/dice rolls ^^ Do not be dishartened. Just try again, enjoy the journey and test out new strategies. Have fun with your friends. The game is short enough to be played twice in an evening (maybe not repeated scenarios) :D Also be aware that there are stronger but also weaker characters that can be totally useless in a given scenario. At 5 players we usually try to have 2 characters with Toughness as tanks, some Brawling/Arcane Mastery for damage, maybe one marksman. In some scenarios you will need 1x Swiftness and if you ever play the Black Goat 1x Stealth and a tanky brawler who both need to survive until the very end. ^^ Btw. some of the insanities have a great synergy and some sbotage the game - we draw two and choose one for some mitigation. This is a Lovecraftian horror game so a win may be the goal but is not really ... immersion is however and this game does it fabulously in the most elegant way. :D Happy gaming :)
That is the most dedicated Star Spawn I've ever seen. Literally came back every single turn he got killed.
Such... a.... jerk! And he never attacked us but we were so worried about him haha!!! He did his job!

Toughness skill goes a long way against Cthulhlu, preventing sanity loss from ANY SOURCE.
Yes... why do i anyways forget that skill i need to deck that one out sometime!!!
Yessssss! DEATH MAY DIE!!
This has quickly jumped up near the top of my favorites list
It's a top 5 for me and with 2 more seasons the variety will be AMAZING!!
Great video - lots of fun - nailbiting ending!

Doesn't tile 8b have two spaces on it instead of just one large space?
Yup it does! Sorry about that!!
Honestly not bothered by the lack of flavor text at the beginning. I find myself skipping past some of that in a lot of gameplay videos out there. I'm here to see the game, not have story time 🤣 great stuff as always!

Hey Colin. Will you ever get back to Eldritch horror?
I should! I still have it just too many games haha!!
