Way to go ! Nasty big waves, but serious fish! Can’t believe how effective that super simple technique was. Also such nice jig fish on that lake. Good thing about the nasty weather, no worries from other boats!! As always , great information! FISH ON!
Got my Fish On Tshirt today. Thank you ! Keep admiring you and Mitches boat. Looks like it really takes the waves well. That’s what we need in Nebraska. Great video!
I'm surprised you don't have splashguards on that boat and backtroll into that wind. You can hover in place with the big motor. The old school walleye boat control method before the days of spot lock. Seems that nobody backtrolls anymore.
That was a great video! Nice job locating, catching fish, and navigating the waves. Bet you guys slept well after that day! Thanks for the presentation demo as well!
By 4 pm on Friday the roller actually got bigger! I was about a 2-3 foot constant chop. Completely died on Saturday and so did the fishing. You should have kept going east to the bay. 14 inch crappies back in there!
Lol wasn't meant to be. Just meant that there were still plenty of eyes to be caught just have to change up tactics. Fwiw I usually feel like I have no idea what I'm doing when leech is calm. Maybe I just got lucky trying something new.
Hey Tom, Ryan Bemis here, you kicked around river fishing, ever make your way down to Lake Wisota / Chippewa River.. if you're interested In coming this way give me a heads up! Good times tight lines...RB
Hi Tom I got a load of walleye this weekend with jig n rap all hooked in the belly can you tell me why they was hooked that way great video happy fall fishing
I don’t have a alumacraft but my old boat was 17’9” star craft and now we got a 21 foot prince craft and it is like night and day. I have no worries about going on Lake Erie any day of the week now.
Tom, it would be nice if, in the are where you post things, you could include the total time on the water when fishing. We just spent three days on leech lake and never caught one walleye, and I believe we were in the same general area you filmed this. Thanks
Absolutely my favorite walleye lake. Nice family vacation spot.

Always the best bites in wind like that on Leech, so many good memories , huge waves, frozen fingers and fish after fish👍

Another quality video, thanks! Love how you use the underwater camera to help tell the story
Tom is the best walleye expert
Found this video really useful! Wind blows like that regularly on the columbia.
Great video keeping it real love it. Great information!
Nice work guys looks great
That's a Monday here on wind. Brave it till you make it i say. Good job men.
You are giving the Minnesota “ drifters” a bad rap🤣🤣🤣
Great tip on the jig weight. I wouldn’t have thought to use a 1/8 oz jig. Always seems to be in the 1/4 oz as my smallest.
Only one dog was harmed in the making of this film!! Haha those leech fish are sure built well!!
Looked like Victory At Sea, crazy wind but you nailed some nice fish!
East side is where it’s at! This spot is money
No mosquitos. Great!
What a great video! Anytime you get on em like that it's so much fun. Great work. You make finding "the spot" look easy.
P.S. Where's Shelby?
I have a cabin there and Tom seems to log more hours than I can in Leech!😀
I was fishing a tournament out there on sunday, was windy, got all ours on cranks. water temp then was 52.5, yesterday it was 43.
Tom love the video. Keep the walleye videos coming. Love how to share what equipment you are using and where and how you are fishing.
Mitchell owns rain gear? Who knew. Suns out, Guns Out!!!
Great video
Great video friend
The ol walleye chop.
Pelican lake big fish and lots of place for them to hide can get frustrating at times
Had to work this hard all day last weekend on greenlake, for a few keepers in this wind.
Tom if you want a challenge the next time you go to leech you should stop at Breezy Point and fish Pelican, nice fish if you can find them.
Big fish too, tough lake lots of places for the fish to hide

Not trying to brag but I was up on leech Thursday-Sunday. Still got over a dozen eyes bigger than 22" Saturday. Needed to fish low light
@@jonesyrules15 sick brag

Why is it the only time you fish Green Bay is the spring run?
Good question
What is that red colored line you're using?!?
TOM ....... what is that net You use and where do I find one please ??? “ HOOKED - UP !!!!! “ 😎
Were you off Bear island?
Are you working your way towards lake of the woods??
Tom, Curuious to the water temp, and how fast you were drifting. I didnt see a sock out.
He said .5 to 1mph
Water Temps were 53-56 depending on area and time of day.
I have a 18' competitor. Does the 20' handle the waves better?
I don’t have a alumacraft but my old boat was 17’9” star craft and now we got a 21 foot prince craft and it is like night and day. I have no worries about going on Lake Erie any day of the week now.
@@tylerleigh3264 tiller?
No the first star craft was a side console and the prince craft is walk through. Hope this helps
Have you guys ever tried cass lake? Me and my family go up there every year and just wondering if you’ve caught anything good
Walleye fished it this summer. Caught a bunch of eaters
I must have missed a few, what's up with the Mercury
It's Mitch's boat
Hey Tom, what do you use for rod holders and extensions on your alumacraft?
I think they are made by expedition
Scotty rod holders and alumatrac bra ket
Thanks and great video! Taking the 185 trophy, wife and kids to Leech in 5 days.
You should put a gopro on Surly...Surly Cam!
