- In today's 5 Minute Cards Video, I show you how to use wax paper with the Happy Hearts embossing folder, and how to create this fun curved rainbow card! This technique is a fun one to try and you can use both sides of the wax paper and get a two-for-one!

Waxed paper is a regularly used item at our house. Great for wrapping sandwiches. You can also rub bits of waxed paper along the lid edges of ink pad covers to make the covers easier to remove.

Wow, this takes me back to when I first started stamping many many years ago! I’m pretty sure it was before embossing folders and we just wadded up waxed paper for a crackle effect. I’d forgotten all about this technique. Thanks for the reminder Gina, and for your card with a modern look.

Hi there! I was lucky that someone donated a crafter's collection of tools which included a small iron but I'm not ironing many clothes these days. You will find an iron that's been tested & tagged at an Op Shop, for a good price. Good luck. 🥰👍☕

When I did it before I always had to put a little "x" on the side of the paper that didn't have the wax on it so if I got interrupted I didn't have to go back and try and figure out which side it was on 🤣

Hello, do you know what i would need to use for cookies flooded with royal icing ?
I have a box of wax paper in a closet has to be over 20 yrs. Old lol. Now to pull out the iron.

Paper impregnated with wax to make it waterproof or grease proof. Used for cooking and wrapping food.
I guess in the netherlands we have a different name for it or it doesn"t excist here... whahaha thank you anyway...
Did not work for me. Not enough wax on the wax paper.
