You are amazing, Tobi. You should become a Sinology professor in a university in Germany because you are such an expert in Sinology 中國通。Thanks for introducing Chinese culture to the world. That person said 「Japanese ramen」. Even Japanese ramen originated from China as you might already know. Ramen came from lamian 拉麵。 During the Edo Period (Edo was the old name for Tokyo 東京), Chinese immigrants to Japan (especially the Cantonese) set up noodle shops. Ramen used to be called Chuka soba (Chinese soba or Chinese buckwheat noodles). They were so popular among the Japanese that once again, as usual, Japanese put their brand on it and it becomes 「Japanese ramen」. It’s a shame that Chinese inventions such as chopsticks, noodles, rice noodles, rice, rice wine, dumplings, tea, tea ceremony, tofu (from Chinese doufu), soy sauce, miso, hotpot, penzai, weiqi, etc. now all have the misbrand of 「Japanese」. Worse, they turn around and look down and spit on China as a 「copycat nation」. Chinese doufu becomes 「Japanese tofu」. Chinese penzai becomes 「Japanese bonsai」. Chinese lamian becomes 「Japanese ramen」. Chinese jiaozi becomes 「Japanese gyoza」. Etc. Google search for 「Japanese missions to imperial China」 and 「Japanese missions to Tang Dynasty」. Japan, Korea and Vietnam are collectively called the Sinosphere. Japanese culture is Chinese Tang Dynasty replica Korean culture is mainly Chinese Ming Dynasty replica The kentoushi 遣唐使 or envoys to Tang Dynasty basically copied Tang culture wholesale in the areas of art, music, religion, philosophy, literature, government, fashion, architecture, cuisine, etc. Their application of what they had learned resulted in the sudden blossoming of 「Japanese culture」 in the contemporary Nara Period 奈良時代 and Heian Period 平安時代。Nara 奈良 and Kyoto 京都( formerly called Heian-kyo 平安京), the capitals for these two periods, were built based on the model of Chang’an 長安, modern day Xi’an 西安,the Tang Dynasty capital. Chinese Hanzi 漢字 named after the Han Dynasty 漢朝 becomes 「Japanese kanji」. Hiragana 平仮名is cursive Hanzi. Katakana 片仮名 is partial Hanzi. Even Chinese zhajiangmian 炸醬麵becomes 「Korean jajjangmian」. And Chinese rice noodles fen 粉 (fun in Cantonese) becomes 「Vietnamese pho」. I think China needs to stand up to reclaim all of these intellectual properties back with their own inventor brand. I wonder if Japan makes a copy of the Eiffel Tower, will they call it 「Japanese Eiffel Tower」? 😂😂😂 Anyways, a little rant because I am tired of people boasting 「Japanese culture」 and misbranded 「Japanese」 stuffs while trashing the authentic and original Chinese culture as the 「copycat」. Feels a bit like fallen angels pretending to be God while blaspheming God as 「evil」.
--- Wirklich beeindruckend!
Thank you, that's a really nice comparison! I just researched him again, well everybody knows him, but just found out, that there were individual historians have repeatedly expressed doubts about the historicity of his trip to China. That also sounds like my life in Europe, after living in China 😂 in Europe there are also people having doubts wenn I tell them what I experienced in China. So Marco Polo now is more pleasant than yesterday 😍
@@HeyTobi Sorry to know that sometimes you got doubts from people same as him. It’s sad… But I just want to say thank you for promoting Chinese food to the world and you know China very well with no doubt. Ignorant people are everywhere, I wish they could travel as much as you do, I’m sure they’ll regret for what they’ve said if they find out the truth. Wish your channel will be more successful. ❤️

Really appreciate !

Thanks!
Thank you for your support and trust! 🍀🍀🍀

I am a Chinese living in a big Asian city. I don't know how to make noodles from flour. You are great. ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for your warming words! ❤❤❤
