Fighting Horses

  • Horses are establishing hierarchy in this pack of three. The dominate one runs the weakest horse away while showing aggressive behavior without actually inflicting injury. Horse fighting/ fight club. They are actually practicing their skills with some rough housing. Not actually fighting. A stallion/stud horse may fight to the death.

      you can ride a horse at about 2 years if it is trained, but should only be for short ride. The horse is completely adult at about 5 years of age. Whips are never necessary unless in a round pen and only to get the horse to move. I mean a lunge whip, which you only wave or pop you don't hit them with it.

      I play with my male horse (his geldedness has come into question) like this some times, but I always keep a safe distance and he's not allowed contact when playing, unless it's a break. My mare just looks at us like we are crazy. If either of us tries to play with her, she just pins and walk away. *Sometimes* I can get her to be a little playful.

    Easier said than done. Even if you cycle accessible parts of your property, if there is a high water table it could still be muddy even after being left alone. If you look, they have access to plenty of grassy area, and attempts are made to keep the mud under control by throwing stuff down on top of it. But the mud is nice and cool. Worst case scenario, you spend more time washing your horses.

      Ni Huynh Seriously? Are you kidding me? When their feet get picked and treated every day, that's unlikely. These are very well cared for thoroughbred race horses taking a break from being at the race track and racing all summer. I would be more concerned about them hurting each other rather than the NATURAL MUD!

    • @CrockerLogic
      @CrockerLogic  10 років тому +3

      Ni Huynh And actually mud and natural ground keeps the proper moisture in their feet. Keeping them in a stall causes hoof problems. Where do you suggest a horse live? In the house on carpet? Concrete slab? Horses in the wild do pretty well with what nature has given them.

      Poop is natural too. Fire is natural too. Volcanic rock that could rip a horse apart with one false step is natural too. Just because it's natural doesn't make it healthy or safe. We, the audience, are just seeing that the horses are caked with mud and standing in it to their fetlock, and we are expressing our concern for the horses' well being. Don't act like the people watching your video are stupid and accusing, okay? We are just being people, like you are just being a person. Nobody's perfect; we're all just struggling though this life.
