I was wondering when you guys wpuld get a chance to watch the Beth x Beth episode and your reaction is pretty much how I expected. This episode really sums up Beths character and her parental problems with Rick. I also think the juxtaposition of both Beth's falling deeply in love with herself to the point of wanting to be with each other forever, where as when both Jerry's kiss each other they just try it out and treat it like a formal exchange and move on with their lives almost like nothing happened, which is so hilarious 😂. Ironic that Beth's narcissism is deeply rooted yet kinda sad to the point that she falls in love with herself where as Jerry has no self confidence to truly care too much about himself
I think a big difference between Jerry and the other family members in how bad they are is about how it is portrayed. When Rick or Beth or Summer or Morty are doing something bad, it is either cool or funny. It is something that you can sort of insert yourself into and imagine it as something fun to do or be. When it’s Jerry, his brand of being bad is cowardly or pathetic. And nobody wants that because it is more real.
@@silverblade357 exactly! The reason why people give Jerry a lot of shit is because he is a reminder of how an average person (like most viewers) would compare next to the rest of the family.
It's Zork, not Gork. And the game in the show is just supposed to be about the genre of text adventure games from the late 70s rather than a specific game. Adventure's opening paragraph was, "You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building. Around you is a forest. A small stream flows out of the building and down a gully." Zork's opening was, "You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here."
