Fantastic bit of playing there John ! That sounded flippin' awesome.
I have 2 cst-24's, one p90 and one with standard pickups. Absolutely love them, and much prefer playing them over my more expensive guitars. The action is indeed very, very low and your fingers just fly around the frets. Great sound, great guitar, and the vanson locking prs style tuners even fit the screw holes. 10 minute job to swap them out.
I've been a professional guitarist for several decades, and anyone saying these are poor guitars doesn't know what they are talking about. They are a bargain ! Set them up correctly, put locking tuners on them and away you go !

John, I absolutely love pro standard musicians who have zero " guitar snobbery " and who never judge an instrument by the name on the headstock. You, my friend, put all those " haters " to shame. You only ever judge a guitar on how it looks, feels and performs whilst in your extremely accomplished hands. For that, and for being a thoroughly proper bloke, I applaud you my friend. I am sure, as with almost all guitar manufacturers, Harley Benton churn out the odd " duffer " in their extensive range of budget friendly instruments but, in the case of this lovely looking and sounding CST24 P90, what is there to possibly dislike ? It looks lovely and those P90's sound superb. I own a fair few guitars and 5 of them are Harley Benton's. I really love all of them and only one required a few mods and a wee bit of work.. Nice one brother x " Lower than a rattle snake's scrotum " ha ha ha

I got mine in blue a bit over a year ago as a B-stock for around 50 euros off the regular price. It's argueably the best guitar I have, and definitely the best one in terms of price/quality ratio. The P-90s sound spectacular IMO and most of all, as you have found as well John, it practically plays itself, which is my favourite thing of all about it. Don't miss out on it John, you will be happier if you buy it (as long as the misses doesn't make it rain on your parade, in which case you'll have to shell out an extra charge for some new shoes, but the guitar is well worth it!). Enjoyed how you played through all it's sounds, cheers John!

I love my Harley Benton DC60 Junior P90 guitar, it is an awesome thing, set up before it came to me and sooo playable. Gibson be darned! Lol. I will be buying more HB guitars because of the bang for the buck - outstanding. Suck it up, guitar snobzx!!

Sweet jam, nicely done! The Harley "SE" colour and bound neck looks awesome, pickups sound great. I'm glad I live in a tiny seniors suite and don't have room to accumulate a ton of guitars and other gear, and save all the money I'd blow on all the great budget choices.

One of the best pieces I’ve seen you play. Fantastic! Sounded good to me. My HB Sc500ii is a beast. The pickups / wiring do let it down in high gain/high volume situations though

Took a bit of a chance on one of these a few months back. Absolute bargain! Couldn't really pick fault with anything at the price, nice useable tones, trem sets up how I like 'em, great neck. Agree that the tuners aren't the best but not had any problems and just haven't bothered replacing them yet. Cutting of the nut was a bit sloppy but cut okay and have seen worse on axes costing 5 times the price. Bought it expecting to have to 'upgrade' a few parts and was pleasantly surprised.

Great demo John. I have a few HBs & I love them. Usually better for a set up & new tuners. I prefer locking tuners, so would probably change them anyway, and most new guitars are better for a set up, so no big deal.

I bought the blue one just a couple of weeks ago, I'm getting it set up next week, the frets are all over the place although it plays and sounds lovely. I can see it becoming my 'go-too' guitar subject to the set up getting it 'just-so'...

My CS24 came with dodgy tuners, so I fitted Vanson tuners as per your advice. I also fitted a matched pair of #irongear dirty torque in the bridge and blues engine in the neck, what a difference.

Incredible value for money.A superbly built guitar. Excellent cosmetics. And mine was a 185 quid B stock!
Like most guitars (including expensive Gibsons) some work was needed. Set up was bad with negative neck relief the plastic nut (not graphite as advertised at the time I bought ) was very badly cut and there were 3 high frets and a couple of flat points. Local top class luthier charged me a reasonable 50 quid for a custom shop fret job, new strings and new professionally cut graph-tech nut and set up..... Guitar now plays and sounds like a High end guitar...No need to change anything..I have a set of excellent Irongear platinum 90s pick ups lying around but don't think I will change the stock P90s. Even the tuners ( criticized by many in reviews ) seem fine to me.
One small thing that concerned me is that because I have modified the guitar by changing the defective nut (the d and g string grooves had been cut far too deep), I understand that the guitar is no longer under warranty ..This is not a complaint against this guitar or Thomann as this seems to be common practice in the industry.

I discovered the channel a not-too-long-ago bit of time . . . erm, ago . . . and I have to say it's like I found an old friend. How've you been? Harkens to the days of listening to records in the garage with the old man shouting at us to, "Turn it down!"
Anyway, I enjoy the channel very much and hope to get through all the videos shortly. I am on a fixed income so my patronage to patreon is slo' but sho' but in the meantime, please keep up the good work, please keep up the unboxing, as well as the free plugs for Harley Benton. I plan on getting one you reviewed a while back simply because you reviewed it, and I dig your style. Anyway, new fan and appreciative of your work. Thank you, John.

Alright John. I have a PRS SE245 with P90s. It's pretty good. My only issue is that when I'm home recording the 60 cycle hum becomes problematic. When I get near my laptop it's noisy, but when I move away it gets quieter.
So, press record and move away, move back to press stop....... it's more difficult than it should be really!🍺

Harley Benton Guitars are GREAT ... if... they get set-up well. I've got 3 and love them. Play them more than my more expensive guitars... I'd rather keep the wear focused on something easily and inexpensively replaced over ones costing a whole lot more!

I've got the very same but I sure don't sound like that. John's on fire! I just find the neck too thin at the cowboy chords. Nonetheless, could be best guitar for the money and then some. Changed out the pup's and then went back to the original Roswells.

It's indeed a mighty fine guitar to play although there's on big con with it, in my opinion and that is the trem. Once, after use and you let go of it it give's an annoying "Klank!" sound comming back on the guitar, ... a shame really but overall it's a Royal Instrument, still quite fond of it.

Stainless steel frets? On Thomann site on this black one it says "24 medium jumbo frets", on the same but in ocean flame color it says "24 blacksmith stainless steel frets". How can it be, is the black an older version?

In my experience the most ardent HB pitchforkers seem to be whatever import ranges sit within striking distance above HB price (Epiphone/Squier/G&L-ASAT etc). Anything alleged to be on par with what they paid extra for. The ultimate irony is they might even be made in the same factories.
