I'm a short person too and apparently never heard of hemming(or refused to get it because it would "ruin the shape" or some such thing) and so the bottom of my pants were ragged and dirty. Not a great look. Would also trip you up sometimes. I also remember lots of pants with patches on them, I had jeans with patches all over it.. smiley faces, rainbows, aliens etc.
KL You would have looked normal in 70's when we all wore them. They were mostly jeans, everyone made Levis or Lee brand jeans into bell bottoms by opening the outside seam & sewing either denim or other fabric in as a triangle to make the bottoms flare. We then embroidered all over our jeans. In Calif. we never wore shoes or at best wore these very thin soled Moroccan sandals so the bottom always dragged on the ground & was dirty & frayed. It wasn't cool to wear pants that were just down to your ankle (called them high waters bc they looked like you were expecting a flood😃) you had to have the back of your heel & top of your foot covered. The really cool people had the flare start from just below the knees. More conservative types started it between the knee & ankle. Then we discovered we could convert jeans into a skirt. Maxi skirts were really popular. Tye-died t-shirts, round sunglasses & a crown of flowers in our hair. Those were the days...you could buy a lid for $10🤣
I love that you wear stuff that makes you happy (and don't really bother yourself about whether it is "fashion" or not). Everyone should do it. I always have worn what I liked and I guess I make it my own, and that never goes out of fashion!

I've been the same exact way. Try taking a hot bath, put some aromatherapy to work in your room, create that warm, cozy atmosphere. Warm up a sock in the microwave with uncooked rice inside to create a diy heating pad and lay with it (don't burn yourself!). Maybe drink some calming tea if you like/have tea. I hope you feel better soon.

OMG, I loved bell bottoms when they first came out in the late 60's. My favourite jeans as a kid were white up top, came to a V at the knee, and the lower bell bottom part was tan. I *_still_* love bell bottoms and flares, and bell sleeves on tops. They never even went out of style for me 😂 And 70's wedges, I still wear them, and my butt length hair - still have that too, and horror movies, still my favourite genre. Heck, I just never grew up I guess 🤣

That's called a lettuce edge and it is done by stretching a knit fabric while sewing close together stitches that wrap over the edge which doesn't allow the fabric to relax back into a flat state so it ripples at the edge which looks like the edge of a lettuce leaf.
