This song makes me cry each time I hear it.....it reminds me of a time when I was very much in love with someone and this was our song! I miss Laurie very much and I am certain she is singing with the angels right now.........thanks for posting this recording of her!
Perfection. Went to see the play "Annie" . Went out wondering who was this "NYC" girl. Followed her successes on Broadway, her cabaret gigs, her albums. When she sings this song I am touched to my soul. Only greatness can do that. Thanks Gary, you made my day by posting Laurie singing "Listen To My Heart".
I had only heard Nancy LaMott sing this song (which is perfect), but this is completely different and just as perfect. It's also a very well put together and touching montage!
It's sad that Nancy LaMott and Laurie Beechman, who are both known for this song, died within a little over two years of each other, in their early mid 40s, of uterine and ovarian cancer, respectively.
She truly was a gift of god's and I imagine is now in the heavens singing with the angels....

I’m not sure why Laurie said she’s from Philadelphia. I went to school with her in South Jersey.
Well, she was born there, so they say, but she grew up in Haddon Township, no?
