I get that Daun was going for the game, but I would kept the moneybag and make Connie find that other moneybag on her own. I can't be mad at Daun for his decision.
Aren't they? I wish sony would stop being psycho with the block hammer so more videos on youtube existed. I always loved BtB 76 and its a disappointment that so little still exists.
I was pushing 6 when this show came out, I wonder if anytime during the Kennedy and Barry versions did the board ever reveal all 5 blanks, this here was pretty close.
If you were wondering why the next episode was on Friday instead of Thursday, it was because the Thursday episode was pre-empted by the Daytime Emmy Awards show on ABC that day (May 20,1976).
gladfan 1989, ABC decided to expand "One Life To Live" from 45 minutes to 1 hour that's the reason why "Break the Bank" was cancelled although it was popular with fans and Tom Kennedy who was hosting "Name That Tune" for syndication at the time was a good host here.
Fred Silverman at ABC didn’t like Break the Bank even though it was a hit show. He killed it by expanding One Life to Live to 45 minutes. That’s an example of how petty show biz can be.
This is one of my favorite Barry & Enright Game Shows and one of my favorite Game Shows from Tom Kennedy This was Videotaped at ABC Television Center in HOLLYWOOD the home to Family Feud with the late Richard Dawson, Benson with the late Robert Guillaume, Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak and of course, Dick Clark's American Bandstand God Bless You James Edward Narz, R.I.P. Mr. Kennedy and BTW, I like Tom Kennedy's Version of BTB way better than Jack Barry's Version as Kennedy was better at interacting with celebrities than Barry who will forever be known as The KING of The Joker's Wild
Merrill Heatter and Bob Quibley Productions believe it was a copy of "Hollywood Squares". One of the reasons WHY the show failed. And also blame the henpecked Fred Silverman.
For those wondering, at 10:19 Avery answers "touches himself" to the question. Even by 70s standards, that's DEFINITELY not going to air!!
But you have to admit, it was funny.
I remember Tom. Kennedy on TV back in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s too.
I get that Daun was going for the game, but I would kept the moneybag and make Connie find that other moneybag on her own. I can't be mad at Daun for his decision.
however, she probably would've won anyway because #16 was also a money bag
Thank you for posting these! They were hard to find for a while.

R.I.P Mr James Narz aka Tom Kennedy
13:06 SHE'S CRACKED THE BANK!! 💰
17:50 - the "boing" sound (whenever a blank is revealed) plays after a correct answer.
Yes, you're correct, but you lose your turn, LOL
A shame this show was only on for less than a year.
Yeah, and if that werent enough, tape practices had yet to improve...
