13:40 you forgot trim (next to flaps field) in the MCDU. And according to real life pilot sequence of ground power is 2 3 4 and 1 it should speed up the display becoming alive.
I didn't so much as forget it, as there isn't a calculator for it yet. Fingers crossed there will be one soon. For the same reason, we're not putting the correct V-Speeds in. Hopefully a calculator will appear soon - there is a "real world" app for it, but it's not available to the public.
@@jonbeckett I think it shows in the EFB /Payload menu. If you click on the blue rectangle with two arrows next to the ZFWGC it shows different number and it should be trim (not from my brain I saw it in another A380 video) :D
Yep - but in the absence of having a calculator for it, they're good enough as an approximation. I've done some searching online - there don't appear to be any calculators available to the general public - there is an internal Airbus app though (obviously) :)
Thank you so much, now I see what I was doing wrong. Time to go fly! Except for one thing, I can't sort out the name of the switch for the engines at the base of the throttle to engage the engines. I am trying to map those to switches on my HOTAS, but no matter what I set, it never seems to work.
After watching your so called procedure, i have to tell you that you have missed so much out, this will only confuse people and leave them scratching their heads when issues occure, please tell the whole story and not bits and bobs of it.
You can get a copy of the written procedure I (mostly) follow in the video here: ko-fi.com/s/17acddfa8b
You are literally my saviour for things like this 🙏
Hi Jonathan, haven't downloaded this plane yet but it looks awesome! I love the 'modern' feel of the electronics. Thanks again for a fab video.

@@jonbeckett fbw said to use the simbrief takeoff perf calculator.

Well explained Jon ! Thanks mate :)
Let's See What The Airbus A380 Takes You To The Skies ✈👍🏻😉
Nice plane and nice job showing us how to fly it. Thanks'
The numbers you plugged for the V speeds are actually the flap retraction, slat retraction and minimum clean speeds.
V2 of 190 is a bit too high

Thanks Captain
Thank you so much captain ♥

Hello my friend, thanks for the video, what can I do to keep the AP activated and not disconnect automatically and keep the beep all the time?
The ext power button were turned on in the wrong order according to FBW. It should be 2314 for your information
What setting is it you set to get the small arrow cursor over the knobs opposed to the huge finger?
How do you put the A380 into Cold & Dark?
Looks fantastic! Where can we download the aircraft?
FlyByWire - flybywiresim.com/
FBW installer, it is pc only too.
I have a problem with the A380 liveries, they come out pink. Is there a solution? Thanks.
It’s aviation Pride Month.
Jonathan, how on earth are you getting such buttery FPS? I'm getting 12 at best!

Post up the link to YOUR procedure and help folks fill in the gaps.
