I love that bike. A sport tourer ( a little more sport) tourer with that motoor. It is a great looking bike. I do not think you can go wrong. Totally good bang for the buck.
Hi I bought the same bike new in 2022 done 14600 miles on it only used in summer so I do a lot of miles love this bike it has its faults though front brake poor unless you pull it very hard standard tyres are terrible easily fixed seat becomes sore after 150 miles but the engine is so good. I have ordered a new red one take delivery next weel louis masters
I bought this bike brand new in 2022, I had it for 18 months. I test rode the Kawasaki 1000 SX ninja I liked the ninja so I traded in my GT. and I can tell you the Kawasaki 1000sx ninja is more flickable, versatile , handles much better in the corners than the GT. Good points with the GT is good riding position, comfortable for the firs 3hrs bum gets soar after 4hrs good on fuel 53- 55 mpg if you don't thrash it to much. bad points It does not handle as good as most 1000cc bikes, noisy cam chain after 1000 miles , the sat nav is rubbish ( you have to key every thing in it takes ages) when riding the SX you are lent a bit more forward a little more like a sports bike.
You must be living in a kind of parallel world. I owned a z1000sx (bought it because is the only realy nice looking bike on the market) and sold it allmost instantly, cause its that damn heavy. Hated it. For me the GT is fun and touring in one bike.
@@donaldduck9424 I bought the GT first because I got a good trade in price for my MT10 I did not go on a long test ride with it, but after a while it seemed heavy and not even as good as my MT10 on the twisty roads. I traded the GT in for the 1000sx. It seems a lot better on the twisty roads and more flickable than my GT and the MT 10 it also feels lighter to me once the bike is moving. If your a very tall person I would imagine the GT is Better for you, as the Kawasaki is a little smaller in length.
I haven't rode either but most UK and American reviews say the Kawasaki Z1000SX is much better than the Suzuki. I like both so it would come down to a test ride.
I haven't rode a Kawasaki, but I have had several Suzuki's. I'll stick with Suzuki for now,,, one reason is no one has Kawasaki's in stock,,, or Suzuki's for that matter. Kawasaki's do cost more,,, several grand more, and you are NOT getting that much for it.
I like this bike, but I would personally have the Kawasaki if this was the type of bike I was looking for. As it is I wouldn't sell my Hayabusa for one of these.
I bought the Suzuki comfort seat, and it is better but, still not the best, but it looks great. 80% of my riding is superfast canyon riding (So Cal canyons) and it is better than my Tuono V4, my Z1000 or my CB1000R.
Why have people started calling transverse or across frame multi-cylinder engines as "in line"? An in-line engine would mean the cylinders are aligned from front to back, just like your granddad's Morris Minor engine.
I love mine, but let me know when someone comes up with a headlight fix. World's worst headlight in the dark on b roads, dangerously bad. OK in a straight line, tip it into a corner though and things become scary. I work night shifts so it's useless to me for commuting. I had a Chinese scooter with a better headlight. Nobody else seems to be talking about this, can't just be me experiencing this problem.
quick fix,,, add some driving lights. that's what I did. I bought a set of 3/4" LED spot lights and put them on the forks where the reflectors are/were. works great. I agree the headlights SUCK balls on dark country roads. damn animals jump out in front of you at any given time,,, it's always good to be able to see them before the run out in the road.
The bike actually has a 7 year warranty if you get it serviced as scheduled by your dealer (if it sticks from new with the original owner). It is a very good bike, I own one. If only they could sort the annoying cam chain rattle.
DUDE,, you have no idea what engine they have in this bike.. it seems like the same as the Katana??? it's is NOT. it seems to be the same as the 2006 GSXR?? it is NOT. in 2021/2022 Suzuki changed some things in the engine. NOT the same. I've had a 2020 Katana.. great bike. I now have a 2023 GSX-S1000 GT Plus. great bike but has issues... very noisy VALVES and cam chain tensioner, issues with the cruise control, the MySpinn app, the Quick Shifter, the headlights....ETC.. now having said all that.. I do OWN a GSX-S1000 GT... and I have taken it out on short rides and on a few LONG rides. after 10 hours on the bike I did NOT feel sore at all. unlike when i ride my GSX-S750 for an hour or 2.

I bought the GT as soon as it landed in Canada in 2022 and aside from the noisy cam chain tensioner, I love the bike!
Suzuki has a fix for the noise. you need to have the valves adjusted. Suzuki put out a bulletin about it.
@@redhytech Had my 12,000km service which include valve adjustment and didn't change anything... noise still there

Just watch a video on UA-cam how to set your front light I did it and it's perfect now

So is my wife's sister...but I won't be riding her either....
The new cross over is the bike to in 2024 no ifs or buts believe me it's the same engine but better balance
Better balance than a sports tourer? It's a bloody crossover, not a single chance it's more 'balanced' than the GT.
