I loved the action scenes in this episode. Both fights highlighted what each Shade was proficient with: Delta with physicality and brawn, Alpha with skill and tactics. The other Shades we haven't seen fight yet are Zeta and Eta.

EVERYTHING, literally EVERYTHING about the way she acts is akin to how a dog would act to their owner in these situations. She is a literal dog just in a person body which is why their interactions are so sus. lol. Also, Zeta, the blonde beast person they showed at the beginning in the snowy area, is the cat since she's from some kind of cat like beast clan, can't remember which, panther or something. Delta is from the Dire wolf clan, hence why they call her mutt and doggy and crap. Zeta and Delta hate each other because of that whole fighting like cats and dogs trope.
This is still one of my favourite arcs just because seeing cid get to fight the ones he trained is such a good trope, if only the girls could have actually kept up the act long enough to give him a fight

They're both princesses of Midgar whose life trajectories were drastically altered after meeting Shadow. Alexia appears to be growing not only as a swordswoman, but also as a person. Meanwhile, Iris seems to be blinded by her anger with every passing day. I wonder if they will eventually fight over what they believe is right.
