Both PS5 and Series X can do 1080p at 120 and 240Hz and the projector did support these rates, so I'm not sure where the claim that consoles are limited to only 60Hz comes from. On the other hand, 4k 60Hz is pretty much limited by DLP technology, so if the point is 4k gaming, then yes, it's 60Hz only, and that's why there's no HDMI 2.1 port. I was disappointed that you didn't mention picture quality in details and how colors were accurate compared to a monitor setup.
@@BeyondtheBox1 I literally just played Metaphor on my PS5 at 120Hz. You need higher HDMI specs for 4k@120, not for 1080p@120, which is what those consoles do without chocking.
@ duh, the consoles can play 1440p 120hz. This projector has no 2.1 hdmi. What part don’t you understand? It’s not capable of doing what the console can do! Very simple!
@BeyondtheBox1 dude, chill. It does 120Hz, just not on a weird resolution for desktop computers. 1440p specifically it doesn't, but 120 and 240Hz it does, but on 1080p. There's a huge difference between not doing 120Hz at all (which is claimed) because of the lack of HDMI 2.1, and not doing at 1440p - which most DLP projectors don't support even at 60Hz regardless of HDMI 2.1.
@ what part of “it not getting the full capability out of the new consoles like it should be if labeled as a gaming projector” is hard for you to comprehend?
What are your thoughts about the fan noise? I have heard a lot of bad things about this projectors fan noise. People say the picture quality is superb but fan noise is extremely bad. Esp. At 4k 60Hz. What are ur thoughts?
Great movie projector very very colour accurate better than the 3100i Great for single player games 4k 60hz If pc gaming you can do 120hz at 1440p just the sweet spot especially with a 120 inch screen buttery smooth gaming
@@BeyondtheBox1 if your gaming on ultra settings with ray tracing enabled 240hz is non existent. My 4090 can barely do 120hz at 1440p with Alan wake 2 ray tracing everything maxed out. Depends on the games you play,, this projector is suited for playing Single player games not multiplayer games lol
It’s a shame they marketed this as a gaming projector with only HDMI 2.0.

HOW DO YOU GET 120HZ ON CONSOLE IF THERE IS NO HDMI 2.1? Waiting for a serious answer. I’ll keep the color information idea for future videos.

BenQ should be more transparent about the gaming limitations.
The 16ms input lag is decent, but gamers deserve better.
The 60Hz refresh rate is a real letdown for gaming enthusiasts.
I wish they hadn’t marketed this as a gaming projector.
BenQ should’ve included HDMI 2.1 to make this a true gaming projector. 🤷♂️
BenQ X500i is more of a multimedia projector than a gaming one.
BenQ nailed the picture quality, but missed the mark on gaming specs.
The visuals are fantastic, but the gaming experience could be smoother.
The 60Hz limit really kills the gaming experience on this projector.
Why no HDMI 2.1? This projector had so much potential.

Fan noise ain’t that noticeable
I bought it to try out but I'll be returning it because the fan noise is loud as hell.

The image quality is great, but the gaming performance is lacking. 😬
Solid performance, but the lack of HDMI 2.1 is a dealbreaker for gamers. 😕
Why advertise it as a gaming projector if it’s stuck at 60Hz? 🤔
This is more of an entertainment projector than a gaming one.
BenQ needs to step up their game if they want to market to gamers.
Wish it could handle more than 60Hz for gaming.
It’s decent for gaming, but I expected more from the specs.
The input lag is manageable, but the refresh rate is disappointing.
16ms lag is decent, but 60Hz really limits the gaming experience.

c'est bizarre que tous les commentaires vont dans le mm sens ici .... les 3/4 n'ont mm pas essayé et ça parle !
Not sure it’s fair to call this a “gaming” projector with HDMI 2.0.
Good for casual use, but competitive gamers might be disappointed.
It’s a solid projector, but calling it “gaming” is misleading.
Great for casual gaming, but serious gamers will be disappointed.
HDMI 2.0 in 2024? Really makes you wonder about the gaming claims. 🤨
Why advertise it as gaming when it’s capped at 60Hz? 🤔
They shouldn’t market this as a gaming projector with these specs. 🤷♂️
Great for casual gaming, but serious players need 120Hz or more.
HDMI 2.1 would’ve made this a real gaming projector.
The projector is impressive, but not for the reasons they advertised.
Loving the projector, but the HDMI 2.0 ports are a big letdown for gaming. 🎮
Beautiful visuals, but gaming at 60Hz just doesn’t cut it in 2024.
