Organic Potato Harvester Utilises RVT Precision Technology

John Deere precision technology is being utilised on a Grimme Varitron with weigh scales to monitor yield of each variety during potato harvest at T.C. & N. Taylor Ltd Organic Farms, Shropshire.
At planting the varieties are mapped and uploaded to the harvester. Using a SF6000 receiver and 4640 display, with weigh scales on the potato conveyor, the harvester can collect data on the potato variety, tonnage, work out the average yield and each seed can be traced back to the planter.
All the mapped and documented data can then be analysed in the John Deere Operations Centre to make more informed decisions for the next season.
