Some interesting facts on this movie.. Apparently, Verna (dead grandma) was played by Marilyn Burns.. who played Sally in the original Chainsaw movie. And I guess the actor playing Deputy Carl is Clint Eastwood's son in real life
Out of the ones you haven't watched Chainsaw 3 is actually a reboot that ignores part 2 and is a direct sequel to part 1 but has Leatherface with new family members. Part 4 is also another reboot that ignores pretty much everything but has homages to the first film. Then lastly there is a 2017 movie just called Leatherface that is a prequel to the original and this 3D one.
TCM2022 to me was "Meh" until the last twenty seconds before credits, then it was funny as hell. XD Like "Bender laughing harder when he realized Leela was serious" funny.
i personally love this film watched it twice at the theater (The 3D was more of a gimmick since during this time everything was 3D) It’s crazy that the internet has selective memory when it comes to Texas Chainsaw 3D it was actually number one at the box office! Lionsgate seen a new time line with this film (They signed both Alexandra Daddario & Dan Yeager for 3-4 follow up sequels to Texas Chainsaw 3D) then the passive aggressive internet decided to over think a silly slasher film and tear it apart (actors got payed out) and Lionsgate made the ultimate “F You” to the internet/fans with Leatherface (2017) as long as you don’t analyze this film like the Zapruder film it’s a very slick alternative slasher (That turns elements of the typical slasher on its head) The secret in life the internet is wrong 50% of the time (I’m not saying the film is flawless but, it’s very enjoyable and fresh)
The funny thing is I had the exact same experience my first watch I loved the movie but when I watched it again and was paying closer attention to what was happening i hated it.
Great reaction video as always, ladies. I'm on the fence with this movie. I like it, it's at least watchable, but there's several things I REALLY don't like about it. If Heather was born in 73, wouldn't she be much older than that in 2013? I know it's not that big a deal but that really bothers me lol
The original draft of the script took place in the 90s to explain her age. The studio had the script re written to modernize it because they felt teens wouldn't be able to relate to kids from the 90s so they just hoped teenagers would ignore the timeline gap.
This movie has a massive plot hole lol...the beginning of it takes place at the end of the first one which was back in 1973 I guess? And those two people take the baby and this movie DOES take place in 2013, cause it's shown on the girls grandma's grave she died in 2012. The main character in the movie should technically be 39-40 and she was literally 25 when this movie was filmed lol.
Glad to see you gals cover this. Takes alot these days for me to dislike or hate a film. Otherwise, I enjoy the film or am like "Meh." This, I legit hate everything within it. Well, except Leatherface (when not being shown getting ganged up like a bitch), the laywer (I always like that actor) and Kenny (He done nothing wrong and people treat him like crap.) Everything else... good fucking CHRIST...
The virginal final girl trope changed with Sydney in Scream... when she lost her virginity and updated the trope to more modern days.. other then in the original Black Christmas when the virgin was killed early and the final girl was pregnant. I almost think these follow up sequels have diluted most franchises.
If Leatherface was from Michael Bay version of Texas Chainsaw massacre movie he would kill the sheriff and the mayor and snapped a man neck 360 style 👀👀👀👀
So now that you’ve went this far down the barrel, you’ve got to check out Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. But you’ve got to get the whole squad for that one!😂
Kate and I are editing two other horror movies right now! She is doing Annabelle and I'm doing Leprechaun (I know it's past St. Patrick's day but we figured we would still do it haha) so they are coming very soon to make up for the lack of horror reactions since we fell behind due to Kate's surgery
22:37 According to this film killing a cannibal family to stop them killing and eating more people is a bad thing. Then they randomly have the mayor and his son want to kill Heather for being a Sawyer just to make Leatherface and her seem sympathetic.
Fun fact: the guy who plays the original leather face is the older man with the beard sitting at the window in the house at the beginning when the house gets shot up
I guess usually if a horror movie I'm watching is bad, I either don't notice or just don't care. Because I've watched and enjoyed a lot of ones that most people would find terrible.
I watched the remake as part one and Texas chainsaw as part two and Texas chainsaw massacre2022 as three. You see the remake shows more family members while the original had four, all men no women.
Listen I kinda like this one personally, I'm not saying it's good, I'm just saying that I like it lol, some movies are just bad and still enjoyable (I have the same opinion of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Next Generation, which I would LOVE to see yall react to cause if you thought the second one, this one, and the 2022 one were batshit crazy then WOOOO BOY ARE YALL IN FOR A RIDE WITH NEXT GENERATION) (also ps: Matthew McConaughey is in it lol)
She’s go have a hard life living with him. I couldn’t do it. I get why she wouldn’t like her parents because they stole her but still they raised her. This movie is different from the others it’s unique.
The movie takes place right after the original movie 1974 The guy you thought looked familiar is chop-top from part 2 also gunner hanson, the original leatherface is in that scene. He’s the big guy with the grey beard.
Tcm 2 is the best one after the first I'd say followed by reboot, 3 and the nextflix one. This is a series with a lot of bad entries though TCM 4 is *slightly* worse than TC3D so you're into the worst of it. That's why I kept being like "but 2022 is a good one compared to others"
Keep the Reactions Coming Ladies and I agree with you guys this movie is terrible and if you get a chance react to Friday the 13th 2009 Remake with Jared Padalecki

this one is WAY worse than the 2022 one. At least the 2022 one had good gore and some pretty scenic shots. this one is all cringey dialogue, confusing plot holes, and terrible characters 😭😂
@@ImOutOfMtDew The opening scene was supposed to depict the 1970s, heather was the baby that was saved and she is clearly in her 20s which means the timeline would be the 90s, yet people are walking around with cell phones and if it were accurate heather would be in her 40s, not 20s like we see here.
Crazy how most of this movie could've been prevented had Heather just read the letter when she first got it 💀😆fun reaction as always
Yes! Exactly! When someone tells you to read a letter you read that damn letter!!!!! 🤣

Honestly this one was my favorite movie. Aside from the cringe, I feel like his kills were actually brutal this one

I recommend watching the movie Maniac 1981
Alexandria daddario is awesome 😂 but her delivering that line can't make it better💀
She was gorgeous in this movie. That line was funny though.
I am so sorry you went through this monstrosity. But I do prefer this over texas chainsaw massacre 2022
TCM2022 to me was "Meh" until the last twenty seconds before credits, then it was funny as hell. XD Like "Bender laughing harder when he realized Leela was serious" funny.
honestly i liked the movie
Do your thing cuz 😂💀 worst line in horror movie history
My reaction to the line: 🤮
Literally the worst. It's so cringy, I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust 😬
It's truly awful.
I was like “don’t say it” when I had a feeling she was going to use some sort of phrase lmao
@@ameliakaytcahill6297 Yes 😅😂😂
The one who said he’s simple is Leatherface grandpa too.
The great grandpa is the one in the wheelchair

Well obviously it’s because a 40 yr old isn’t nearly as sexy with a ripped open shirt as a 20 year old 🙄😂
Yes another Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie reaction. Can’t think of a better way to spend my Monday night.
I like this one more than 2022's because this one is just dumb all the way through and kind of revels in its stupidity

What makes it worse is each new film is yet another reboot 9 times out of 10 because the last one bombed. It gets tiring real quick.
I watched this movie just for Alexandra Daddario
That's literally the only reason why I love this movie cuz of Alexandra 😍😍😍
love the reaction guys ❤
Texas chainsaw 3D is the kinda movie that u put on a rainy day or just for comfort 😂😂😂
Or put on for background noise while fucking or folding clothes

Surprisingly, a lot of people like the remake more than the original. It’s goated!

Kuharap film ini ada lanjutannya...karena aku penasaran
The plot of this movie is so dumb. She's just gonna live with Leatherface now 😂

A disappointing entry, partially because it had so much potential to be better than it is.
