@@christopherandaya3422 not everyone wants a pre built inner frame. Most of us would rather build everything from the ground up since there's a certain satisfaction to knowing how everything came to be.
The HiRM is great, but the proportions aren't everyone's cup of tea.
You buggin the show was amazing
The weird thigh joints just extend the crouching movement without hindering the front-skirt... only to do the crouching style Undefeated East pose with Master Asia.
I must say Very good HiRes kit, it is very shiny as a Matchbox cars' diecast paint. The articulated bucklers and holographic ring effect part is a positive bonus since MG version don't have those.
The front skirts can be pulled out from the sides to show more of the grey.
Just when I thought the MG Dynames Gundan would be my New Holy Grail kit after the Amazing Exia... but when I built this..... Dang..... Done Deal. This is it! And yes the price for me was just clouded by the fact that this MS is AWESOME... AWESOME!

Superb review as usual. Just a correction though,
it's called a "core lander". Not "core fighter".
The green thing in the shoulder is a part of the SD Gundam version's original gimmick called the Crystal Hyper Mode, that got ported to a 1/100 kit, just like NT-1 2.0's face guard.
I assembled it yesterday. And I broke the pointy-thing behind elbow. "orz
But I still love this model a lot too.
After building both Red frame (Noir) and the God Gundam, I feel like this is a downgrade from the red frame
Pros: stability pads on the feet are nice, accessories are nice
Cons: Lesser Die cast than red frame, worse articulation, unnecessary thumb (i prefer a fixed thumb like the red astray), joint for the claw armor's articulation is bad
A BC Just finish building this kit not to long ago. Absolutely agree that the joint for the claw armor’s is very bad it fell almost every time I try to pose.

The only downside for this kit is it should comes in as perfect grade imo

I like the way it looks. The thing about that kind of design is supposed to be more humanoid accurate. And God Gundam is technically my first favorite Gundam Sense when I was a kid at the age of six.
Just bought this and the Penelope at the Gundam base and I can’t wait to fly back home and build this! Excited to see how the ring will look like under the light in my display case 😵

God gundam to this day is still my favorite mobile suit next to Ground Gundam. Such a iconic and Uber tier design.

Wow probably the best looking HiRes today. Most HiRes kits looks beefy. I think it's to balance the overall kit but it doesn't look too bulky for me. It just looks good and this would be such a spotlight worthy kit display.
Personally, I like the beefier legs of the Hi Res God Gundam compared the the MG. It now looks like it's built to fight
I am a huge fan of bulky mobile suits, the god gundam has never looked better
God Gundam is my favorite Gundam period lol. I remember last week that I was trying to get my friend into Gundam and I showed him a list of different Gundam and how they look and what series they are from. He looks at the god Gundam and he said, “IDK what it is but I feel like he’s the Gundam that is just on the top” I was like hel fucking yeah he is.

G Gundam was the first Gundam anime series I watched, and to this day remains as my favorite. Naturally, the God Gundam is one of my favorite mobile suits from the series, so I was ready to be a tough critic on this kit. However, getting a look at it, I have to say that is actually looks pretty good! :) I do see the added bulk to it, gut given that the God Gundam is a melee based mobile suit, I actually think that the added bulk is a nice touch. The sculpting on the midsection looks really cool, too. I’m not crazy about how much the bulk in the arms limits the articulation at the elbows, but there’s still a decent bend there, so I’m not going to knock off points or anything for that. As a G Gundam fan, I’m actually pretty satisfied with the modifications they made for this kit. I don’t see myself buying it any time soon because of how pricey it is, but I’ll definitely say that this is one really nice looking kit! :)

I'm with you, not much a fan of the show but the Gundam designs are still great. Here's hoping for more G Gundam model kits with Maxter, Rose, Dragon & Bolt.
Yeah, it does look different from the show and it appears bulky but I think that's what the Hi-Res kits are for also. The aim isn't anime accuracy. I think they did a good job with that one.

I actually am all for stylizations of Gundams and actually like the beefy look of this Gundam. Like this Gundam looks like he can lift and throws a mean punch/Round House.

The astray was way more chuncky.
And it's a beautiful piece but would have like to see more armor shifting when moving thing like the legs would have been nice to to see that shifting thigh armor
My only problem to this is the caption on the box under the "god gundam" it says..
Domon kashuu's use mobile suit... According to the anime its a MOBILE FIGHTER, but meh.. its good.
Do you recommend it for a newbie? Not so much into gunpla but love g gundam and this is the definitive God gundam now
It's super easy to build. As long as you have a basic understanding on how to build Gunpla, then you will be fine.
This could be the best well-articulated Perfect Grade with $100 P-Bandai Halo on his back lol.
I loved the look since the first images. The bulkyness makes sense, so I don't have a problem here. And the price is ok to me, I don't find it particularily expensive. So all good !
Although I can't understand some design choices. Especially in the ankles area. Usually, when theres no armor, the model kit/figure has a full a often great range of movement, alas when you add the armor pieces (here the -larger than necessary- ankle armor) the movement range is reduced. It always feels like a missed opportunity of design : looks over function wich is never the best choice.
KrowSama, how was the ankle movement before putting the armor ? Was it better ?
Anyways, the posability and stability still are great !

12:30 sorry but I think you meant Burning Finger hands, or God Finger if we're gonna go with Japanese version. That said, I need this HiRM, Burning/God Gundam has always been one of my fave Gundam suits and I can always use more Burning Gundams.

Yeah sadly the Stikers are dull so the glossy plastic looks matt if u put the stickers over it wish they would give u glossy stikers
It mimic a fighter body build so it make sense on how it was design but still love the model

i don't think it looks too bulky at all. it's just right and i'm not even a fan of the show or the suit but i can say this thing is beautiful and makes me want to have one... for reference, i didn't like the look of the HiRM astray.

I really hate how the gauntlet looks when it's covering the hands during the burning finger. It pops off the forearm to much. Honestly that alone is a deal breaker since the burning finger is the most iconic thing about the suit and if that isn't perfect whats the point?
Thats what I was thinking, it looks kind of off to me. And yeah thats the most important part.
The gauntlet on my HIGH RES gets stuck half way through the rotation. How can I move it without losing friction on the wrist?
I don't understand where the "it's too bulky" comments are coming from. This kit isn't any more proportionally bulky than, say, the High Grade or the original animation counterpart. Sure, the Hi-Res Astray Red Frame was really bulky, but that just made it closer to the original lineart/manga rather than the animated counterpart.

Do you think the kit would benefit for having an LED in the chest? I would kinda like for the chest to glow or would it just hamper the suit in your opinion?

This was the first Hirm kit I ordered on day 1, for me the aesthetic is perfect, I feel like a cqc mech should be slightly bulkier on the basis it needs to be able to withstand hits and also have the weight to apply the force its throwing.
I've gotta be honest, I'd like to see alot older MG kits get the high res treatment when a solid innerframe with weight or delicate/intricate movement is needed for iconic poses (for example) is needed.

It's not actually a Melee gundam it's a hand to hand combat machine that has melee weapons but it didn't use the beam sabers to much
Its definitely a beam saber that screams "God Slasher"
It's a Hi-Res kit. Typically these have a new redesign aspect to them to give them a newer refreshing look, while still retaining it's original design.
Also it's "God Finger", not "Shining Finger".
It's very hard to capture the look of G Gundam as many times it uses forced perspective to make the hand larger when punching, the chest puffed out when the operator is bragging, skewing what designers use to make models/toys.
That said, this is a kit that is fitting for the King of Hearts.
For me personally I don't like it, the effect ring does look good but imo the original MG looks way better. If people like it that cool like what you want, this is just my opinion.
I respect that. I have them both and I really love this one more. Although the proportions and price will definitely turn people away.
The skirts always blocking the legs.
