Uday Hussein was apparently 100x more brutal and vicious than his father. He was uncontrollable and impulsive though. So Saddam favored Qusay, which made Uday even more mad. I think Uday was like 6’5 too, stood out like a sore thumb in Iraq. He would show up to weddings and take the bride of the groom in front of everyone just to be mean and vicious, I’ve read crazy stories.
Wasn’t Saddam the same height himself? Seems as if height runs in the family.

I worked out of Ouday’s hotel in Al Hillah which was in Babylon. I the house the top floor had a disco and extensive bar. In the basement was a small jail where torture took place. Just outside the jail was a one person crematorium.

Saddam's sons were always portrayed as spoiled, soft and cruel so its a little contradictory that they fought off almost 50 troops with Special Forces so well that even when a few hundred U.S. troops arrived they could not beat them, and after hours without Winning the massive mob had to blow up the building because they failed to even in nothing remotely like a fair fight.
There are few bad boys that ever took so much time & troops it took to take out two monsters tough enough to fight together to the death.

I never saw a 3rd ID guy in my time in Mosul from April '03 through February '04. At that time Mosul was the AOR for the 2nd Bde of the 101st, the 502nd Infantry. I was in 1/502nd from 02-07 and but at the time I was not on scene as it wasn't in my battalion's sector of the city. The brigade also had attached to it the 3/327th Infantry. This event happened in the 3/327th's sector of the city. They're identified by the numbers painted on the side of their Humvees. COL Joe Anderson, the 2nd Bde commander, was the on-scene commander and obviously there were SOCOM elements and 101st aviation elements that took part.
Most of this video is stock footage, even going back to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait and Operation Desert Storm. The clip that shows a 3rd ID soldier in part of the stock footage.
