I always thought goofy was a cow bc in the three musketeers micky version , he falls in love w Clara bell and she was a cow. I just figured since each animal had its compliment of the same animal then goofy had to be a cow 🤷🏼♀️

Mainly because I grew up with the Donald Duck comic books, which are really popular here in Finland. Sweden too, but their version has more Mickey comics blended in. My favourite Donald Duck comic illustrator is Don Rosa, his comics always had the best storylines.

Some people think Goofy is a cow because he dated Clarabelle. However, I have plenty of evidence to prove that this is wrong. Clarabelle has a prominent cow nose and horns while Goofy has neither. Also, if a frog and a pig (Kermit and Miss Piggy) can be a couple, so can a dog and a cow.

So, Pluto is actually smarter than Goofy, ever though he doesn’t talk of walk on two feet. Because Goofy was made to be anthropomorphic, but gullible and goofy, hence his name. But Pluto only did “doggy “ things, but was good at what he did.
I wouldn't feel bad about not knowing Goofy is a dog. I just recently found out that Pete was a cat.
