- The three methods of becoming a WRNS officer are illustrated: cadet entry (Wren Karen McCauley seen in classroom, during helicopter training); direct entry for professionals (Wren Stephanie Chambers in choir, in 'man overboard' drill on HMS Sandpiper, social life) and Officer promoted from the ranks (Wren Jane Burrage studying, in discussion). Passing out parade; girls discuss their future. Marchpast.

Took decades for attitudes to change but now women are commanding Warships
I’m all for equality but there are some major problems. Ships submarines are all having issues with it. A friend of mine a civilian works for the mod and we don’t hear the half of it.
Pointless having wrens on submarines just a box ticking exercise
@@exsubmariner They ain't there anymore, the WRNS have been disbanded about 30 years.
@@efnissien you are talking rubbish
@@exsubmariner The WRNS as a service has been disbanded, women now serve as part of the regular RN.
I love the absence of annoying uptalk and vocal fry.
Are there recruitment films for all regiments, corps and parts of the armed forces ? ( apart from secret ones of course ) Do they make the films for units that attract less recruits for some reason ?
I should imagine that they were made for areas that were in need of recruitment at the time, now I presume it's just please join we need people 😂
We do not have WRNS anymore they are femal sailors now
Oh so lovely woke can a man join as a female sailor ?
