ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

Henk and Floor, I just love how well they work together. The backstory of how Floor idolized Henk in the Phantom of the Opera, and then them becoming good friends on Beste Zangers is the stuff of movies. haha. Thank you for reacting to this.
I think this genuine friendship, admiration of each other grew from as they got to know each other through Baste Zangers TV show. But I think Henk Poort said on the show Good music is Good Music. He himself doesn't like being put into one genre .

Floor was in Hanks theater show a few days ago. Hank and Floor Jansen in Carré.
Floor's fan here and glad I discovered Henk through her. For me, Henk has the best male vocal capability. I am in love with his voice.

Just remember: before that show, Floor knew him well. He was completely unaware or her.

Floor, it goes without saying, was phenomenal. BUT Henk was all over this cover. I'm a big fan of his and my one regret is not seeing him as Jean Valjean in Les Mis. I must've seen just about every other major lead who did it and I can hear his Valjean character in this even though it's an entirely different show.

this video was shot separately for both Floor in Sweden and Henk in the Netherlands and those 2 videos are mixed into one video together and it works so well together already.
there is now a LIVE video of the two of them together on a stage in the Netherlands! .
well that sound quality and video quality are not top because it is a Fan-video made with a phone I think.
BUT you can very nicely see the interplay of those two together on a stage as could be seen in the Phantom of the opera

Glad to see you getting back to normal and hope you are fully recovered. I love this from Floor and Henk. Floor has dropped a few covers on her channel including Euphoria, Adagio, Oblivion etc. If you haven't seen them they are well worth a look. Can I suggest you also check Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens and Tim Foust and Geoff Castellucci's Sixteen Tons, you could have a battle of the best Bass singers. Keep well.

Henk Poort is a Dutch Opera Singer, & Floor Jansen is The Lead Singer From Nightwish. This is From The Duets of A Dutch Show: Beste Zangers ( Best Singers ). Every Season there are going 8 Singers to IBiza, to Sing Songs of all of them. Every Week someone is in the Spotlights. At the end of the Season they are doing Duets of Famous Songs. Floor & Henk: They Did Also The Phantom Of The Opera. Witch was a Big Hit in whole Europe. They didn’t know eachother until this Show. Only From Name. 🙏🙏🙏

Haha, long time no seen, Rebecca. This is a gorgeous performance made for separately by those singing heavyweights. Henk looked quite "Dangerous" there. Before this i watched the original Broadway 1997 performance starring Linda Eder and Robert Cuccioli. It was a very passionate performance. Here we are a little lacking the physical connection. It's not their fault, it's Corona's fault. 😅👍

An amazing duet considering they are in different places. Floor is still not travelling since having gall bladder removed recently. Try her version of Euphoria on Beste Zangers special before Eurovision. Her at home in Sweden and everyone else in Holland. Only a fortnight after her operation.
Floor is now traveling. She had to for the virtual shows they had a couple weeks ago. Her and Henk recorded this weeks ago (she was wearing this dress during one of her live streams and she mentioned a duet she was working on). So happy she is able to get back to doing what she loves 🖤
