- It's our kid's Spring break, and we are Beach Bound! A week of playing at the beach is exactly what this family needs. But, before we head out for the beach, we chat about the Don't Say Gay Bill that was passed in Florida from a gay dad's perspective.
Meet our family. We are Dustin and Burton, gay dads, and proud parents of our twins, Stone and Holland Buffaloe. We created our family vlog, "Raising Buffaloes," as a resource for all. We are an All American Family, who happen to be gay parents through surrogacy. On our channel, you will see videos of our family adventures and grasp what it's like to raise kids in the south as a gay couple. Our dad vlog captures our parenting and fatherhood journey, but you'll find much more. We open up about our coming out journey, relationship and marriage tips, and how to live life with a little more laughter. We use our voice to shed light and awareness to the LGBTQ+ community, gay rights equality, and opening eyes to others. Family has many definitions, and this is ours. Thank you for bringing up this “don’t say gay” bill that was unfortunately passed. How sad and disheartening that we live in a world like this where laws can be passed based on people’s sexuality and being. Doesn't seem possible that a bill like that is constitutional. How can a state discriminate against a certain group in today's America?

Yes, glad to have your input on the Fl bill. My 15 year old granddaughter came out as gay last and lives in jacksonville, Fl. I bought her a T shirt that says “I say gay” multiple times to form a silhouette of the state. She and my daughter love it. Everyone needs to speak up.

The inability to offer support to those who need it, and just an available ear to listen to those who need to speak hurts my heart, but that doesn't mean the progress that has been made comes to a screeching hault either. My prayer is that eyes will continue to open and really understand what this means in order to make positive change and reduce the possibility of those who feel like they have no avenue to communicate. Your beautiful family is one of the best examples I know of this success, and there are plenty of other examples as well. Big ole HTown TX blessings to all of yall. I moved to Florida for retirement. I am sad that we have a governor that has attacked the LGBTQ community. The governor has retaliated against Disney for their objection to the “Don’t Say Gay” Bill. Not all Florida is in support of this. Thank you for your very well delivered message. Your family is beautiful. Thank you for showing that gay life is normal and to be celebrated.

I live in Florida and am very embarrassed of what is going on here. I support everyone no matter who they are. Very sad this type of thing is still happening in this day and age. Great video guys the start of y’all showing the beach trip is everything that makes me long for the beach after cold cold brutal winters in New England. Y’all‘s statement on the don’t say gay now law in Florida is spot on even though I am a single guy a gay one at I so agree.

I live in Alabama and Governor Kay Ivey just signed a bill blocking the use of medications used to treat transgender children and teens under the age of 19, transgender bathroom legislation and a don’t say gay bill. The deep south is very conservative and overwhelmingly Republican. I am glad y’all educated us on the legislation in Florida. Looks like a fun time at the beach and I can hardly wait to see more.
