Drogon is still salivating over that huge banded iron you brought over sitting next to him. The banded iron is my favorite...those have really moved up on the charts for me, especially the ones in Wyoming. Great job my friend 🧡
So much fun looking for fairburns and prairie agates! That beauty that Alexis found was awesome and is of course my favorite! But there are so many gorgeous prairie agates that had Alexis not found that stunner, there is no way to pick a favorite! Every one has its qualities that made you stop and pick it up! And I swear just about every one of those rocks out there has a reason to pick it up! I don't think there is a single prairie agate that doesn't! Thank you Theo and Alexis for taking us out to the Badlands to hunt prairie agates and fairburns! They are so much fun to look for!❤
Great finds Theo! I believe a majority of the ones you think are fairburns are actually lace agates, we have a variety of agates that try to emulate the fairburn and the laces and bubblegums always trick me too! Great video keep it up!
Wow, Alexis definitely has the eye! Great find, they're super pretty. Found some really nice ones, and the petrified wood is gorgeous out there. Glad you two had a good trip--I bet you came home exhausted but had such a great time!
I love that petrifiedwood you were finding. That agates were gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your video. I'm not a traveler, so I can't get find any thing even
Love that spot because of all the pet wood there and bubblegum agates! The one Alexis found is a fairburn, but the rest are all a mix of prairie, lace and bubblegum agate. The one you cut the ends off is a prairie agate with some lace bands, I have several like that! The stone at 19:30 is also just a lace, a key tip to define fairburns is that the pattern will never fade into quartz on a fairburn, but lace agates commonly do! Regardless I’ve got some really great lace agates that honestly rank above some of the fairburns I’ve got.
Love watching you guys Rockhounding! Really cool finds, never saw a fairburn agate before, they are so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing your pics and videos of the Northern Lights! Pure awesomeness!!!
This is a hoot!! This is Dusty I'm out on the Montana prairie hunting ammonites ,baculites, nautilus! Yep doing good! Taking a break my phone pinged o look theo is on 🤠
What a great end to your trip. I just got back from there a week ago. Found 3 Fairburn agates, several prairie agates, petrified wood and several other beauties. And 3 fossils… I’m going to have to ask a professional about them.
Excellent finds and great captures of the northern lights! I wonder if the satellite in the time-lapse was the ISS. I know it made a couple visible passes here that same night.
I'm with Alexis...I enjoy just sitting and checking out the area. Especially on the North Shore where it is so overwhelming to look. I've found some beauties doing that. I love those prairie agates, too. I think they are so overlooked because it's the Fairburns and TeePees that people want. Was one of those smaller ones what they call Bubblegum agate? Great video!
You don’t seem to focus on the proper characteristics to find the ‘fairburns’. Not that you don’t find good rocks! You found some really great ones! But big and ‘blackish’ isn’t going to get you one.
Wow! What a wonderful trip for you and Alexis. So many great rocks great videos, great people, and great places. Marriage proposal under a total eclipse. Aurora borealis. Rocks, rocks, rocks. So educational, too. Thanks for sharing. What might you do with the rocks you collected?🪨👀👏❣👏❣👏❣
I think you've got one, possibly two fairburns in this video :) The rock labeled as a "fortification banded prairie agate" I'm almost certain is a fairburn signer. Just not many other rocks that get that singular bright white consistent band. And Alexis' pink one has a good look to it, but the number of eyes on it does make me wonder if it's lace. Do all the bands retain a consistent width all the way around? That's usually the best indicator. The rest look to be lace, especially when they're really quartzy with lots of eyes, or banding that seems to follow the "shape" of the rock. Looks like you found some great stuff, and amazing timing to be in the Badlands to see the northern lights! We need to link up with you guys and Chris at @CedarStoneCreations the next time you're in SD :)
You guys collected some great stuff

May you one day find a prairie agate of fist size.
Great finds and Northern lights!

Every time I go out to that area I pick up every piece of petrified wood I can no matter how small it's my most favorite to collect
Great finds Theo! I believe a majority of the ones you think are fairburns are actually lace agates, we have a variety of agates that try to emulate the fairburn and the laces and bubblegums always trick me too! Great video keep it up!

Way to go Alexis!

Although I really.. really.. enjoyed the Rockhounding adventures Theo, I have to say that those shots of the Aurora Borealis were spectacular!
I love seeing Alexis just sit dow. Not caring if she gets dirty.😃👍🇺🇸
I have never seen the northern lights. I live in Idaho. Some people here have seen them. Love the petrified wood as usual. Great video. Thanks
My favorite was the aurora, thanks for sharing it!
The second one (black) was fantastic!

👋 glad to see one of your videos... Hopefully you two are great and enjoying life.
Maybe get closer to the ground like Alexis would help, she did good. The scenery was amazing, thanks.
Thanks man what a great prairie treat !!
That large rock you cut the ends on is bubblegum agate.
Great finds and beautiful pictures and video of the Borealis.
This is a hoot!! This is Dusty I'm out on the Montana prairie hunting ammonites ,baculites, nautilus! Yep doing good! Taking a break my phone pinged o look theo is on 🤠
I really enjoy your videos! I recently hid Keokuk geodes in town for kids to find and posted it on a community facebook page. They had so much fun!
NEVER GIVE UP, THEO ! Yeah, Alexis !

Wayward Woodward is kinda a pro fairburn agate guy. Can check his channel to compare agates or even reach out to him and show him what you have.
That would be an awesome collab. He's legit!
Excellent finds and great captures of the northern lights! I wonder if the satellite in the time-lapse was the ISS. I know it made a couple visible passes here that same night.
The one at 16:09 was nice!

So when ya gonna take me ???😂😂😂😂😂
Very nice. SLOW the camera down in the field. You are like a kid in a canty store.
Consider Indian creek ... there's baculites, amonites (sp?), and fairburns in that area.
Was this Weta by chance? Lots of wood that looks like this there, one of my favorite spots for that reason!
Nossa❤
Nice rocks. I still don't know what you fairburn agate is.
Did y’all make it to the Gem show at the fair grounds in Rapid city
My husband and I were there but didn't find any agates!
If you're in the badlands, wouldn't there be the potential for gembone/mammalian/reptile bone remains (fossils) too??
Did anyone else see the old man face on the first horn coral fossil at 9:34 or was it just me?
Maybe you can call Katie or Montana rock mom.

uuhuuu, l was in the Badlands 25 years ago, irritating that I didn`t know there is gemstones there, darn as you say. You are a lucky cheese
