Geoffrey King: Piano Concerto

This is an extraordinary piece featuring brilliant writing for both wind and piano. The piano writing uses one 'prepared' note and incorporates ingenious use of pedals and tone colouring. This performance was recorded during a tour with the Royal Northern Wind Orchestra conducted by Clark Rundell in 1991 during which the piece was premiered. Pianist: Richard Beauchamp.
