- This robin wouldn't stop flying into my back door. It was just trying to scare off itself and mark its territory. You will have to hang some newspaper/colored paper etc or streamers on the outside of the window to help prevent the robin from seeing its reflection/scare it off.
It's 2021 and robins are still doing this.
How do u stop this crazy Robin. It's been 2 weeks. I can't take it.
Cover the glass door with newspaper or paper bags so he doesn’t see his reflection. He thinks it’s another bird and he’s trying to rote the his territory...

LOL Same thing happening right now at this moment... robin flies up to the porch railing, waits a few seconds, and flies, hitting the window with its body.
Yep, have this going on for 3-4 days now. Bird bloodied itself, my window, the screen over window...totally insane. I did think the bird was going to kill itself, and kind of wish that it would as it's disgusting to have bird blood, poop, and smears all over my windows. I've covered the sliding door with a sheet hung outside, but the 2 windows are too high for me to cover from the outside. I've put a piece of cardboard between the glass & the screen...doesn't stop the behavior.
@Marmalade000000 I am not too sure if cardinals are also territorial in the same way that the robins are. Sorry I can't be of more help.
beautiful
same thing happened to a bird by my house... except it killed its self :o
