We walked both builder's model homes and Chesmar seemed to offer a little more and looked to be finished a little nicer. Both build quality homes. As far as looking at models homes and what each have to offer I would say Chesmar. We picked the neighborhood we like better which was the Chesmar neighborhood. We have had our ups and downs during the build and found a lot of little things missed. Attention to detail was out the window. I heard stories across the board from other builders too. My only advice is to stay on top of the build no matter who you go with, and take notes and write emails to get issues resolved.
There are definitely a lot of moving parts when it comes to building a new home! Each builder has their quirks, but I've learned over the years that the project manager and hired contractors plays a crucial role in the process. And you're right, always document and get it in writing! Congratulations on your new home! 💛
Both are beautiful but what is the price difference? If either one is more than 30k then the other then the cheaper home is the clear winner. I wouldn’t be able to tell you which of the two looks more expensive.
My husband said the same thing! There is a pretty big price gap. A lot of it has to do with their location. The Chesmar home wins then coming in at a starting price point of $515,000! The Perry Homes starts at $612,900. 😐 Thanks for commenting & watching!
Both houses are nothing interesting. There were only a few pieces of designer furniture that I liked. Otherwise, there are ugly kitchens with ugly cabinets; in the second house there is also a stove from somewhere in the 70s of the last century. This is also where the plumbing fixtures, which were outdated 50 years ago, come from. The number of doors is simply off the charts, if there are already so many of them - is it really impossible to install hidden doors? And the icing on the cake is the cheap carpeting. Only furniture and lamps brighten up this squalor.

It’s apparent that the Perry home has more premium features. That said, if money didn’t stand in the way I’d go with Perry

Perry is so overpriced! I don’t know what we’re getting for $619k
