In this video we talk about how strict is Dubai, and the reality of the Dubai laws and strictness of the city and country of the United Arab Emirates. I've been living in Dubai for a while now, and before I moved to Dubai I had many misconceptions on how life would be like living in Dubai. I thought it would be this super strict muslim nation with stringent laws and restrictions, but to my pleasant surprise, it's very different to what I imagined.
In this video I discuss what you shouldn't do in Dubai, what situations to look out for, what clothing is appropriate for which places, and in general what to do about the strictness of Dubai. I also discuss personal behavior like public displays of affection that might affect your daily life in Dubai.

10:15 this will be a problem for me. i LOVE how they dress, so me looking at them they think i am either wondering why they dressed that way or i am too interested and could be in a sexual way, and they don't do too well with that. but no big deal, I'll just avoid it.

7:12 i dont see the big deal. Alcohol should be consumed in private and designated areas is my belief and that is how it is in Dubai. I do not understand why anyone would want to dress certain way in public, that's stupid. The saying, do as the Romans do is true in every word. You go to Dubai/UAE, you do as they do... SIMPLE. YOU are "invading" THEIR space.

Dubai is one thing... but aren't laws and practices very different from emirate to emirate in the UAE? I mean, it's no secret that Sharjah is a very conservative place. As concerns alcohol, I remember that Umm-al-Quwain was the only emirate where you could buy it in a shop, "off licence" as the British say. But I haven't been to the UAE for ten years, so things may have changed.

@Nihilistic Atheist I hear you, it’s a joke!! but he lives in Dubai where he meets thousands of Nepalese / Indian / Pakistani both Hindus and Muslims people so he knows the difference. Obviously mistake on a video we say wrong things sometimes, but it’s going on public site like UA-cam so being a professional should obviously check before uploading. We are here for knowledge!

I rather live in a green area like NA and Europe. It’s not because there’s 0 income tax that I’m willing to go in a desert with that absurd heat.
