He didn’t “leave” his family. He left his marriage and why we can only speculate. I’m sure it was a big reason but you don’t dip on a 11 year marriage for only 1 more season.

Pat talks about how great Brady is for hanging out with the boys and being relatable after having Aaron Rodgers on the other day saying it's not a big deal that he doesn't hang out with the boys.
The answer to this is quite simply no. And the reason being is that Tom Brady is in the stratosphere all by himself. I've never seen a player like him I've never seen a quarterback do so much with so little. Between his work ethic and his desire to be better every single game and every single offseason I cannot foresee another player coming anywhere near to Tom Brady's level.
I think Tom Brady really did not want to retire, but he felt that after showing Tampa Bay what it feels like and what it takes to become Superbowl Champions, they really did nothing to fortify the team to ensure they became a Dynasty. He did not think the team was going to really improve enough next year to win it all, and I am also sure he did not want to go through the indignity of trying to CONVINCE another team that he brings intangibles that cannot be quantified and that he is STILL THE GREATEST QB to EVER PLAY. He will enter the NFL Hall of Fame before New England wins another AFC EAST Title and Tom Brady will probably become a grandfather before New England ever wins another AFC Championship or Superbowl. This is also the fate of Tampa Bay. Tom Brady absolutely STANDS ALONE as the greatest QB to EVER play in the NFL. He is absolutely Peerless. He stands alone atop the Pantheon of Greatest NFL QB's. There are at least 20 Records that Tom Brady possesses that will NEVER BE BROKEN: Most combined career passing yards (102,614) Most combined career touchdowns (737) Most consecutive seasons on a winning team (21) Oldest QB to win an AFC and NFC title Most Super Bowl wins by a starting quarterback (7) Most Times appearing in a SuperBowl as a Starting QB (10) Only QB to Win a SuperBowl in 3 Different Decades Only QB to Win 5 SuperBowl MVP's Most Yards thrown in a SuperBowl (505) Most Pass Attempts in a SuperBowl (62) Most Pass Completions in a SuperBowl(43) Most Career Game Winning Drives to win a SuperBowl (6) Most Career Completions in the SuperBowl (277) Most career TD's in the Playoffs (88) Most Career Pass attempts in the SuperBowl(421) Most Division Titles (19) Oldest player to win NFL MVP (40 years old) Only NFL QB to beat all 32 NFL teams Most Wins by a starting quarterback (251) Most Career Passing Yards in the Post Season (13,400) His professionalism, fire, willpower and competitiveness will be missed. I live 60 miles north of Dallas and was an old time Cowboy fan for years - but for some reason there is something about Brady and the Patriots that caught my attention from the very beginning. Mostly it impressed me that they always played like a TEAM. I was a diehard Patriot fan for 20 years. I started to turn off Super Bowl 51 in the third quarter - sad and upset because my team was losing - just before I hit the off switch I remember telling my wife, if anybody can win this game it would be Tom Brady and the Patriots - and so I watched the whole thing - it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Y’all did a good job on this!

"He knows all the signals" No, he has seen all of the possible defensive combinations, watched 20 hours of film, and uses motion to look for man or zone. Watch all the interviews with Ray lewis about Brady and he knows what's up.
Most defenses try and key on tendencies of their opposing offense and it's focal point (the QB), and hope to force them into making a mistake. Against Tom, the defense had to make sure they didn't make even the tiniest mistake, because he will see it, key on it, and exploit it with alacrity. As the stakes rose, he gets better at it too. There's a handful of guys you need to play damn near perfect against if you want to slow them down, and Tom kept that up for the longest of anyone in this sport's history.
People like to hate on him and make excuses as to why he had so much success, but no other quarter back that I can think of could of pulled off the Super Bowl 51 comeback, that will forever be the thing he was remembered for in my opinion, 28 to 3 with I think 4 minutes to go in the 3rd, sort of thing you see in a movie, Incredible career.

Most everything rn and his numbers are crazy
Tom Brady had the same force of will as Michael Jordan, without the natural ability. It’s possible we will see another 20-year career with a bunch of SB rings, but that QB will have insane physical gifts. He won’t be willing himself to compete at a level that’s frankly way above his natural skillset, year and year, making people believe he’s always about to fall off because it’s simply impossible he keeps doing this. That was the extra magic of Tom Brady we will never see again.
I was born in 91 and Brady made me a pats fan. Now I'm a sad one but he gave my team 20 years of greatness and I think we will never see a QB of this level for a very long time. Not even Mahomes will do this I think
TB12 and Peyton share the record for play-off losses at 13, which represent 13 years in the post-season but not winning the SB (single elimination). Add that to his 7 SB rings and the three years not making the postseason, and you get his 23 years. So he made the playoffs 20/23 years (.870), and of those 20, he went to the conference championship 14/20 (.700), winning 10/14 (.714), and then further winning 7/10 SBs (.700). See a trend? Other figures - Made Conf Champ. game 14/23 seasons (.609) which is better than them Cowboy's all-time win/loss of .574. At the beginning of each season of his career, TB12 was more likely to reach that game than the cowboys were of winning any random game. His batting average for reaching the SB 10/23 seasons of (.435) would be a hall of fame year in MLB.

And it wasn't even close.

There was a point where Tom Brady had a higher % chance to go to an AFC championship game than Steph Curry has of hitting a three point shot.

As of 2021 Superbowl he was in half the SUPERBOWLS over the last 20 years
One thing people are forgetting: Tom Brady was a fine tuned machine, he only made it this far because he had it down to a science with his staff. I don’t see any other player doing something this close, I mean the man left his family to keep it up.
He didn’t “leave” his family. He left his marriage and why we can only speculate. I’m sure it was a big reason but you don’t dip on a 11 year marriage for only 1 more season.
I think other players can play 20 plus seasons
So glad I was just old enough to watch NFL football in the late 00s/early 10s. Pats/ravens/Steelers/colts (with manning) matchups were legendary
No one will be able to replicate what he did. Granted he didnt do it alone. Great coaches and players around him helped. But he was also seriously clutch in the times he needed to be. In my mind he's the greatest QB to ever play the game.

I’m grateful as a Bucs fan that we got to watch him lead us for these last few seasons. Everything he says to the media, his teammates, it’s always the right thing and it’s always class. Incredible leader of men. I loved this guy, and I used to not like him from a far because he always won. But seeing him up close made me understand why he is what he is. Thank you Tom ❤
Sure Tom has 7 super bowl victories but let's not forget his 3 loses, this man was 20 years into his carrer and had an above 50% superbowl appearance rate. Fan or not you cant just luck into a situation and be that good for that long.
And those 3 loses were very close. Had leads in the 4th quarter of all three of those Super Bowl loses.
i mean mahome played in 2 and is 1-1. could be 2-1 after this. but point is if you make it there enough you can lose some. 7 -3 is a pretty good ratio. I'll take that any day. lebron is 4-7 you think he would rather 7-3?

Beyond Insane
Remember when people thought there’d never be someone as great as Montana? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Where is question? ..
There are at least 20 Records that Tom Brady possesses that will NEVER BE BROKEN:
Most combined career passing yards (102,614)
Most combined career touchdowns (737)
Most consecutive seasons on a winning team (21)
Oldest QB to win an AFC and NFC title
Most Super Bowl wins by a starting quarterback (7)
Most Times appearing in a SuperBowl as a Starting QB (10)
Only QB to Win a SuperBowl in 3 Different Decades
Only QB to Win 5 SuperBowl MVP's
Most Yards thrown in a SuperBowl (505)
Most Pass Attempts in a SuperBowl (62)
Most Pass Completions in a SuperBowl(43)
Most Career Game Winning Drives to win a SuperBowl (6)
Most Career Completions in the SuperBowl (277)
Most career TD's in the Playoffs (88)
Most Career Pass attempts in the SuperBowl(421)

Oldest player to win NFL MVP (40 years old)
Only NFL QB to beat all 32 NFL teams
Most Wins by a starting quarterback (251)

Thanks for the memories, Tom Brady.
I miss him already.
You have to RESPECT him! That’s the least coming from a Ravens fan!! Hurts to say but he is the GOAT 🐐
6:00 That was a glorious night of hanging out with a bunch of college homies in the windy city, drinking some brews, praying for a Bears dub. When Brady lost count of the downs the entire room erupted. Great moment, I live in Colorado now and miss awesome times like that with my friends. 🐻⬇
I remember being 8 and being sick of the patriots because they had won 3 out of 4 super bowls. I’m 27 now. There won’t ever be another brady.
Brady will be the GOAT forever. I am 21, he’s been balling my entire life. I don’t even remember his first 3 rings because I wasn’t competent enough. I do remember him always beating my Steelers ass. Guy just found ways to win. All these other Hall of Fame quarterbacks like Favre, Peyton Manning, Marino- played a long time like him, but not at that high of a level. Brady won his 7TH Super Bowl in his 40’s! Goat.
The man gave me 23 years of happiness it was awesome watching him play even after he went to the Bucs. Thank you Tom for the memories.

These replies are why casual football fans should talk less and watch film more.
Love It Pat The Pat McAfee Show Bro
Thank you for coming to tampa Tom and giving me the best 3 years of football Iv had in my life!!❤ 🐐

He only started 21 seasons tho so he made the playoffs 20 times and only missed it once back in 2002 his second year starting when he lead the league in touchdown passes and went 9and7

Third was against the eagles when he and deion branch were on a diff wavelength altogether
Fourth, great great back to back game and obv we all know malcolm butler gave him this ring but he still played lights out.
Fifth, literally the greatest superbowl of all time the greatest comeback to ever been rallied in sports history.

Seventh, the final ring in his first year on a different team man people just dont do that, only tom could do that

I still think San Fran could entice him. He went through a lot this year. Let him relax get his emotions and mind right. If they made a huge commitment and used his home town and Montana love. As far as records go, records are meant to be broken and mahomes has a pretty good chance to coming close or even beating them as long as he can stay healthy especially with an added season game , in football you are one hit away from everything changing.
As far as who Tom is he's a one of a kind man. Team friendly contracts to allow a franchise to put the pieces together to win.
