This is an amazing video. I learned so much! Thank you.
This was so helpful thank you!
Can anyone share the slides?
Good talk if they could back it up with a good product.
If you do the exact opposite of what Gearbox are doing now, then you may be successful! :P
High performance producers, low performance game, great talk, but the timing on release, oof
Complete misunderstanding of the OODA loop. Does not grok.
why are there multiple gearbox producers giving talks when their product is so terrible?! I mean it's weird...they are saying a lot of smart things (I think) but the studio's output is just SO BAD I don't know what to think!
Classic misunderstanding of what producers do, they're used to this. The project of a game company is a video game. And to the developers (programmers, artists, designers) that game is their baby. To the producers on the other hand the project is is their baby. So if the game was done on time, within resources, with speed and high performance, if the project had good advertisement and finances then the project is a success. The producer did everything they could. It's not a director or a lead developer they don't answer for the game. They answer for the project
High performance? In borderlands 3? Who? The ones who did the low fps port even for consoles? The ones who made a poorly written AAA game with repetitive quests? The ones that made legendary drop not that legendary and rare? Aw gimme a break
it's not about game performance but the work speed of some producers
Did you even watch his talk?
My man this has nothing to do with game performance and game design
@@Mason__smith Watch it? Why waste time on something like that when you've found the 500th opportunity to whine about a new video game for the day? There's still a couple hours before snackies and naptime and these comments aren't going to write themselves.
lol do you think this is about the game's framerate?
