I was playing in a full server with 6-8 F&R homies, there was atleast 8 Police officers, and like 4 sheriffs. There was a LOT of criminals and police was busy all the time. Only 3 civilians and thats it. They really need to increase the server capacities

I think that if the tunnel near Highway 55 and River Run expanded onwards to the road that goes through the tunnel near RC Bank, a highway trooper department would be more useful.
Wish the highway tunnels were actually functional. Wish we had a full map where the highway tunnels were functional and we had roads leading into other parts of the county without it being just a fake tunnel

The most likely explanation: Originally, the PRC Group was based around a whole different game, (which by the way, was shut down), it included Police, Sheriff, Military, State Troopers, and lots of other departments. The ownership of the group was transferred to Mr. Fergie, which then kept the game up for a while, and shortly after starting ERLC, they shut down the game. State troopers were in ERLC at one point though, it was in public servers available to administrators/devs only.
You'll mean Northpoint Roleplay the road were so short and I remember just setting up roadblock (Cop) and forcing people to crashed into the US base which then made US player who work as the army unit arrest them and I got off with saying: "I wasn't looking at the road my bad."
A new department would be amazing, but they would both have to make it original (so not similar to the police department or the current departments) And they'd have to make it not feel like a citizen 'roleplay' job, so it have to have more then 1 job to do. I would say a new department that ER:LC could see would be a construction team extension, so they'd have more of an impact on the ER:LC map. If not, then a State Trooper would be really cool!
I have a solution.. just add “Highway Patrol” as a marking similar to how you can choose to have “Supervisor” on the side of law enforcement vehicles. This should only apply to sheriff vehicles though. No need for 3 law enforcement agencies. Too much overkill
We don't have a nuclear power plant we have a power plant and their not adding a nuclear power since it would be way to big the power plant isn't even as big as 8 erlc trucks they may add a trucking job but idk
I hope they add a state trooper department and add the department building in Spring Field this summer update. This would be a good summer update because you can expand the location of Spring Field and make it a reasonable amount bigger to fit a department building for a State Trooper team. Maybe, they can also add a small hospital into Spring Field.

I dont think we can get any departments soon. Springfield cant expand for a voluntary fd because it would scale too large in comparason to the city. Everything would need a slow upgrade before we can get close, but it all depends how long the game is profitable for at the end of the day and with enough time, we could see anything. End of the day, ER:LC is run by a company now, one that has to take out risk assessments and figure out how everything will impact a game. Planning is what brings a game together, not the scripting. They have to design defensively to anticipate potential issues and misuse. It's a lot of work.
A new state police department will mean bigger map the size as a state and will require more leo departments. Besides sheriff will have to have at least 20 more stations. And there will be more river city leo department
No unless we get a bigger map expansion, we have shares that takes over Springfield and the country areas and of course we’ve got the city areas that are patrolled around the city and surrounding areas
They would have to increase server size again. Also anything law enforcement related would be redundant. I can’t see any new team being added unless their mechanics would have to be entirely separate and unique. Maybe a mayoral administration team that could change up gameplay by approving or rejecting different city ordinances to change up the gameplay a bit.

Maybe if they extend the tunnels on both sides of the highways and then there’s gonna be an extra apartment like at the end of DOT it could be state troopers, so there’s no more teaming up sheriffs and state troopers sheriff on the sheriff team and state troopers on the other

tbh I would love some optimisation so it runs smoother on lower end devices, i get just shy of 20 fps and the cars' turning circles are so big I can't turn at an intersection without crossing double yellow lines and taking up the whole other lane.
If feel that there should be some type of water or air rescue. Like life rafts and helicopters to help people stuck in the water or in a tree or up a building.
My belief and theory for the reason they didn’t add state troopers in the game was that as the game evolved on and so did the RP communities and the later implementation of custom vinyls in emergency/utility vehicles to the game the devs realized that maybe it wasn’t necessary as the game doesn’t exactly take place in an specific canonical state of the US. And they decided to fully embrace that though by deciding not to add a state level LEO team in game. Further possible connection with this is the construction update as well. MrFergie and the devs may have expanded this though further by possibly trying to let private server owners (especially for rp) to customize and add buildings, and possibly the map itself in a future update. But then again, this is a theory, I might be wrong and might possibly add a State Trooper team in the game soon.
Id like to see some park rangers/conservation police (of course this would come with wildlife like deer and fish with the ability to hunt them legally [with proper license] or illegally [without proper license] and you can get in trouble if you dont have the proper documentation)
We need a new department… maybe even something like mechanic, just to split up ALL of the things DOT do, since now the game is mainly built on private servers, it is currently unrealistic having DOT run about in a tow truck, chop trees, AND do traffic stops and also fix cars and roads and lights… just to separate car themes jobs from road themed jobs would do a lot… I hate seeing people in the tow truck also doing trees etc

In the top left cornner of the map, when looking at the map you can see like someone used an eraser to remove part of it. I think that's where the next update will be (if it's a map expansion)
Has this happened to you before where sometimes in ERLC the uniforms/your avatar are EXTREMELY blurry? It happens to me nonstop and so far I haven’t ran into anyone who had this problem
I have this all the time with cars. Sometimes the decals are pretty clear and sometimes they are super blurry. I think this has something to do with bad WIFI

Well here’s my thing, if they do add the new department, I wish they would have kept the old location of the sheriff’s office near the city. Put the highway patrol station where the sheriff’s office is rn.
As an avid player of ER:LC, I do feel as if it would be great to have a state police department implemented! However, with the 35 player limit, the team balancing would be ruined, and a larger maximum player size would be necessary to allow civilians to have their fair share of a team count as well.
Just add a secondary locker room for state pd inside the cities pd, not a secondary team since there would barely be civs but just a add on to the police team would work, different livery’s and outfits would work just fine just like how private servers do it
This game is full of real life child police officers. Ego stroking and abusing power. Ive tried to pull over multiple times and yanno, roleplay, just to get shot at or pulled out the car immediately. Even one pair of officers asked me for id because i was in the tool shop. Then proceeded to chase me everywhere on no basis, just wanting to see some id, but ensue a chase and now im a criminal earlier than id like lol
I think they should just have a livery for sheriff instead of an entire department. I think this, because there would be even more law-enforcement. A new department for law-enforcement would not help balance the teams out. Also, yes the map has expanded but it’s really not that big.
No we will not see another department added to the game because, for example Fire department and DOT Department is already not having a ton of players on them so it would not make sense because then it would just be less roplay because you can just add uniforms for example state trooper and you can make the livery this is why there not gonna add any TIME SOON if they do expand sever sizes I could see them adding another team.

What if they add a Search and Rescue Dept. to ERLC and I'm like rooting for an airport in future updates because that would mean an Airport Fire Service as a new Dept. and it would add new civilian jobs like pilot , ground crew, airport staff , airport security etc. , Also think about all that good RP if ERLC had an Airport.😊

A new department would be impossible with the server size, 35 people split between 3 LEO, 1 Fire/EMS, and DOT would be horrendous.

They did have state troopers in their old game which was out at the (approximate) time in their other and old game "Northpoint".
Northpoint wasn't made by them it was already there when they bought the group its a shame they took it down it was a fun game
