某有名校の動画を見て驚き、吹奏楽の世界の魅力にどっぷりはまりました。
そして全国には負けず劣らず魅力的なバンドが沢山あることを知り、好きなスクールバンドが増える一方です。

The Onishi Gakuen High School band is a consistently wonderful band to watch and listen to. Very animated, and the kids clearly enjoy what they're doing out there.

These extremely talented young people are a credit to their families, their school, and their teachers.
Onishi GaKuen - the best high school jazz in Japan - and they dance it out! Kudos to their director who understands and imparts jazz so well to young folks. Tremendous job all round. Makes me want yet another night in Tunisia. Thanks for posting .

Can you play Star dust with TB in 2019 show? I can't, AT I play most IST in SH
@@KuroNeko-sh2by I've not heard all the high school bands, but based on what i have seen and heard, this band is best at jazz. Two great examples: "A Night in Tunisia " and in another concert Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" very hard in 12/5 time. I give the credit to their director who obviously loves jazz and knows how to impart that love and skill to teenagers. He has done a remarkable job. I don't know his name but wish I did. He makes the most of what he has and the kids do a great job. To me they are the most entertaining high school band in Japan. That's why I love them! Besides their klutzy school uniforms and hula hoops make them super kool!

昨日、友人がこの演奏会を観に行ってきました。とにかく音がきれいでパフォーマンスも良かったと絶賛してたので、ぜひ生で観てみたい！

A small band that certainly packs a punch for its size and has some terrific soloists. I can certainly say that Ohnishi are certainly becoming one of my favourites! Best regards from the UK.

This band...Onishi Gakuen highschool band is without a doubt one of the best bands i have ever seen . It's a pitty that highschool bands don't stay together because they of course graduate and go their seperate ways . At least i have seen them play in this formation and wauw.....they are good . 👍🎶🎶🙏🇳🇱🌷 .

Excellent !!! good work guys... kudos to the trombone player who played "STARDUST"
Notwithstanding their excellent visual presentation,this is a real Jazz Band ! I'm doggedly working my way through every video of Japanese HSBs that UA-cam has on offer (I doubt if I'm even half way yet!) and so far I'm convinced that this band has few peers.Great varied repertoire which takes on some challenging stuff,all accomplished with aplomb and when these cats play Jazz -Man I'm Gone!!

When I was in Band, we sat down, didn't move and played our music. It never crossed our minds to dance and perform like this....
Onishi has never failed to pack tons of entertainment into ALL of their performances and I will always watch them because I really enjoy their 'SHOWS'. Never a BIG band but what is lacking in numbers of people is more than made up with the talent and musicianship of it's band members.

ps - Verrrry nice trombone solo instead of the usual Sax solo in Stardust. Bravo to all the soloists.
Stardust: obviously last year's DM, the lead sax player, has graduated and moved on. I thought the new kid on the block, the trombonist, did a great job on that number. Different, but excellent.
Demef Yes, definitely wasn’t expecting that trombone solo because in the last video of Onishi when they performed Stardust, it was still a Sax solo. IMHO - It sounds better as a Sax solo but the trombonist still did an admirable job. The Sax soloist that graduated was a superstar performer.
I noticed that a lot of the Japanese youth bands often play their own versions of the same tunes. This is no criticism as they all play very well, but it did make me wonder if student musicians are required to pass examinations with certain tunes in a curriculum before they are allowed to join clubs playing publicly. I certainly enjoy listening and watching them because their standards are so high.
Some of that likely comes from the competition system where there is a short list of required songs they have to choose from, so they master those songs to have a chance to win. Other songs that are played often, like Takarajima and Kaze Ni Naritai, are popular with the audiences.

お上手です。
パラダイス・ハズ・ノー・ボーダーで最初に「ウェーーーエッ」って、トロンボーンの彼が叫んでいるのかな？ルフロンの動画でも思ったけど、いい感じの掛け声ですよね。
ダブルダッチのところで観客の人から「すごーい」って声が聞こえたけど、やっぱりあれを初めてみるとびっくりしますよね。私はもう結構見慣れましたが、でもいつもドキドキしながら見ています。(^^)

明日（8/25）小田原アリーナにて神奈川県マーコンがあることは知っていたのですが、
一般向けの当日券が無いことを今日知ってしまいました。
３００人分の前売りがあったようですが、
時すでに遅し ！

元々は、Orange 派なのですが、
同じ県内ということもあり数年前から大西学園さんの動画をチェックしておりました。
サウンドもステップも、年々メキメキとレベルアップされていることに感動させて頂いております。
Orange さん同様演奏されている生徒さんたち御自身もさることながら
指導されている先生方やサポートされている御父兄・諸先輩方の御支援の賜物なのでしょうね。
今後も益々の御活躍を期待させて頂いております。
