My grandma always used to buy me sweets when i was little, take care of me and tell me stories from her childhood. She would always protect me if my dad or my grandfather got mad and hug me when it was cold. Now, she barely remembers who I am and i have to remind her every minute. She always asks me "Who are you handsome young man? You look very charming. You must be popular with girls." and just smiles. Have u watched "Finding Nemo", the Disney's movie.. I got the same short term memory lost like Dory. Its bcuz of an accident. I look like an idiot.. Like , if u laugh at Dory with her short term memory joke.. And that is like me with all of my nonfriends at school. I got no friends and thats alright. But what hurts the most, when my own best friends push me out from their life harshly. How i prevent to forget the important things that (especially teachers) gave to me by wrote it down in my small notebook that always hanging around my neck. May look like an idiot, right..? So on, I'm still grateful that my family always support me through my hard day & my depression.
You shouldn't listen to those that bully you or laugh at you, now I know that's incredibly hard to do, but try, it seems like you are trying hard not to forget important things (keepin' note). In my eyes your amazing (although we don't know each other). Those people that call themselves your friends, but push you away when you need them, well maybe your better of without them,and I'm positive you'll make lifelong friends.
My dad and his brother’s have had to watch their mother forget them day after day. She’s wasting away, barely even conscious anymore, it’s so hard for them to see. But even as the end approaches they have wonderful memories of her, my dad still laughs when he tells certain stories. I hope they always make him laugh, those beautiful memories.

...This might honestly be the only thing I fear losing my memories of all my old friends. They are the only ones I felt comfortable with yet each and every time I got them due to some circumstances we split and don't meet again. A time later I come back to the place we used to hang and no one was there. I only have memories of these people now and I do not allow myself to forget them even after years they were part of my childhood and helped me become the person I am now. They probably forgot me some did some didn't I do not know however I cannot let myself forget them no matter what my memories with them might have been the happiest times of my life the fun we had the chaos we spurned the roles we played. They probably forgot me I do not mind that I was rather annoying back then and childish but I cannot let myself forget them. They were my only true friends... I think I will try and find the place we used to be att and see the new generation at least I doubt I will find my friends and I really doubt they would even remember me if I did meet them but I cannot let the past shape my future. I'm actually here after both of my grandmothers got dementia (and are now gone from this world), but I just wanted to get this off of my chest. The memory loss was tolerable, as I didn't see them often, however that only made the times where they forgot me even more hurtful. The memory of this happening that sticks with me the most is one time before her health got too bad, one of my grandmothers came over to my house to have dinner and saw me sitting on the couch. She just smiled sweetly, because I swear she was one of the kindest souls I've ever met, and asked me what my name was and if I was over to visit and that if I needed anything that I could come to her. It took all my self-control to not burst into tears because this was my grandmother that I have known all my life but from her perspective, I was just this random girl sitting on the couch.
This song hits different for me. The only Grandma I have left, is going through memory Loss. She has episodes she would forget where she is. She would forget my name and I have to tell her who I am. I remember when I was younger like, 4 years old. She would take care of me when me mother would randomly drive off for four months. She would cook and bake for me all the time. I feel so hopeless right now. My mother has cancer. My Only loving grandma has memory loss. My brother, basically my bestfriend, died. My other grandmother is a hypocritical homophobic person. Both my grandfathers ghosted me. I don’t know 3/4 of my cousins. My father is a low-life hypocrite who is racist and homophobic. My uncle is god knows where in Augusta living on the streets. I’m 11 years old who has to be independent during these times. I know people gone through worse than me. And I don’t want to sound ungrateful. But I don’t know what to do right now. I feel so small and helpless. It feels like God himself hates me. I actually have nobody. And I’m so confused on everything. It seems like the world turned its back to me. It’s cold hard back. I hate this and this life.

I don't want to lose my memories. There are some I wish to forget and some I wish I didn't forget parts of... There was someone who went to my highschool. He was my twin brother's friend and they were on the soccer team together... I can't even watch a single soccer game without the constant reminder... I can't even hold a BB gun or a real gun anymore without the constant reminder... His friend pulled the trigger and died on his first attempt... I can't even remember what he looks like or even his voice... I can't even remember his name and I'm not going to ask because it'll hurt people to ask about him... I didn't want to forget this... I only remember very little about him... I never spoke to him and never had a single class with him... All I know is that his death made the newspaper and my brother kept a copy of the newspaper article about his friend's death after cutting it out... the only photo he has of his friend is the one that was in the newspaper... I remember where he was buried and one day I'd love to leave a present for the family at his grave... It's been years since he died but if I could just remember his name I could find his grave at the cemetery I know he's buried at. I always think about him every single year on the day he died because someone like him should never be forgotten... I sometimes even remember him randomly throughout the years as well... I tend to remember him when I'm alone in my bedroom listening to music sometimes...
I lost my grandma in the beginning of 2020 and my uncle in the beginning of last year. Deep down i want to believe that they are somewhere, that they still exist because its dificult to accept that someone thag was once important for me just dissapeared forever. I was actually more close to my other grandma who still is alive but i loved my other grandma still. As for my uncle he was someone very especial, cheerful and with a good aura. I miss him more than anyone that i lost until now.

This reminds me of our last holidays.. We were in Armenia (visiting grandparents). My grandparents had many neighbours and there were also many children. There's all so different.. And I fell in love with one of the boys (I think he too, he was so sweet to me..❤) But a month later, when we had to fly back (we live in Germany), I didn't have time to say goodbye to them because we were late and my parents were fighting with each other.. And in the plane I played this song, looked in the sky and began to cry because.. I miss him and his sweet character. This songs honestly reminds me of that..💔
I relate to this song so much that it hurts. My great-grandma was diagnosed with dementia and modern altihmerz last summer. When I saw her for the first time in months she still remembered me and my little sis but over the months she slowly started spacing out more and more, the light in her eyes flickering. The worst thing is that I know I won't be able to see her again. She caught COVID a few weeks ago and passed away because of it.

When I hear this song I think of all the time I was numb (Depressed/Suicidal and didn't care anymore) and I didn't loose the memory of everyone around me, I lost the memory of who I am/was and what I stood for and I did stupid crap that I regret so much and I hurt the ones I love/care about so bad and I wish I could go back and tell them I am so sorry for how I was and tell them how I was feeling......... But the damage is done and I know I wont be able to fix what I did all the way.

My dad was my best friend growing up. He had a love for astronomy, a love that he imparted to me. I remember when he would wake me up at 1am on the weekends, careful not to disturb my siblings. He would be holding a jacket and cup of cocoa, and we would go into the backyard with his big telescope. He favored the “astronomer’s sky”, where the moon is down and the stars are bright and endless. He taught me to star hop, finding stars with memory of their proximity to constellations. He was so proud of me; it was our thing. I treasure those days. He suffered a series of strokes a few years ago that left him with memory loss. He had no memory of those days. He didn’t remember being outside with me in the cold with a telescope and that cup of cocoa, patting me on the back with pride every time I found a star...it breaks my heart. I have to remember for the both of us now.

And that is like me with all of my nonfriends at school.

But what hurts the most,
when my own best friends push me out from their life harshly.
How i prevent to forget the important things that (especially teachers) gave to me by wrote it down in my small notebook that always hanging around my neck.

In my eyes your amazing (although we don't know each other). Those people that call themselves your friends, but push you away when you need them, well maybe your better of without them,and I'm positive you'll make lifelong friends.

My dad and his brother’s have had to watch their mother forget them day after day. She’s wasting away, barely even conscious anymore, it’s so hard for them to see. But even as the end approaches they have wonderful memories of her, my dad still laughs when he tells certain stories. I hope they always make him laugh, those beautiful memories.

Someone I considered my best friend, we started talking online. After that, we talked for hours every day. We were inseparable. At that time she had memory loss due to stress, I'd remind her to take her meds and everything, and she promised me she wouldn't forget who I am, and all I told her.. Dammit! She forgot me, she doesn't know who I am, all she knows me by is "guy who dates Jess"
She remembers me by my ex, but I don't have the heart to tell her that's my ex.

She's doing okay and its nice to see how her life has progressed, and though I want so bad to enter it even just as a friend, I have to accept that I cannot be let in. ...This might honestly be the only thing I fear losing my memories of all my old friends. They are the only ones I felt comfortable with yet each and every time I got them due to some circumstances we split and don't meet again. A time later I come back to the place we used to hang and no one was there. I only have memories of these people now and I do not allow myself to forget them even after years they were part of my childhood and helped me become the person I am now.
They probably forgot me some did some didn't I do not know however I cannot let myself forget them no matter what my memories with them might have been the happiest times of my life the fun we had the chaos we spurned the roles we played. They probably forgot me I do not mind that I was rather annoying back then and childish but I cannot let myself forget them. They were my only true friends... I think I will try and find the place we used to be att and see the new generation at least I doubt I will find my friends and I really doubt they would even remember me if I did meet them but I cannot let the past shape my future.

I'm actually here after both of my grandmothers got dementia (and are now gone from this world), but I just wanted to get this off of my chest. The memory loss was tolerable, as I didn't see them often, however that only made the times where they forgot me even more hurtful. The memory of this happening that sticks with me the most is one time before her health got too bad, one of my grandmothers came over to my house to have dinner and saw me sitting on the couch. She just smiled sweetly, because I swear she was one of the kindest souls I've ever met, and asked me what my name was and if I was over to visit and that if I needed anything that I could come to her. It took all my self-control to not burst into tears because this was my grandmother that I have known all my life but from her perspective, I was just this random girl sitting on the couch.
This song hits different for me. The only Grandma I have left, is going through memory Loss. She has episodes she would forget where she is. She would forget my name and I have to tell her who I am. I remember when I was younger like, 4 years old. She would take care of me when me mother would randomly drive off for four months. She would cook and bake for me all the time. I feel so hopeless right now. My mother has cancer. My Only loving grandma has memory loss. My brother, basically my bestfriend, died. My other grandmother is a hypocritical homophobic person. Both my grandfathers ghosted me. I don’t know 3/4 of my cousins. My father is a low-life hypocrite who is racist and homophobic. My uncle is god knows where in Augusta living on the streets. I’m 11 years old who has to be independent during these times. I know people gone through worse than me. And I don’t want to sound ungrateful. But I don’t know what to do right now. I feel so small and helpless. It feels like God himself hates me. I actually have nobody. And I’m so confused on everything. It seems like the world turned its back to me. It’s cold hard back. I hate this and this life.
Don't lose hope. It's the only thing you need to "survive". You maybe got times when it's hard to be happy, be yourself, keep smileing like it doesn't matter. But cheer up! Life is the most beautiful thing in the world. Just live! Your mother gave birth to you, live with the chance! Everything is gonna be fine. :)

My Nan passed away from dementia, she very much forgot mostly everything, but one thing I always will keep with me is that she was the greatest person I ever knew that loved me very much and while her memories may have disappeared from this plane of existence, her love never did. I can't even remember what he looks like or even his voice... I can't even remember his name and I'm not going to ask because it'll hurt people to ask about him...

I never spoke to him and never had a single class with him...
All I know is that his death made the newspaper and my brother kept a copy of the newspaper article about his friend's death after cutting it out... the only photo he has of his friend is the one that was in the newspaper...
I remember where he was buried and one day I'd love to leave a present for the family at his grave...
It's been years since he died but if I could just remember his name I could find his grave at the cemetery I know he's buried at.
I always think about him every single year on the day he died because someone like him should never be forgotten... I sometimes even remember him randomly throughout the years as well... I tend to remember him when I'm alone in my bedroom listening to music sometimes...
I lost my grandma in the beginning of 2020 and my uncle in the beginning of last year.
Deep down i want to believe that they are somewhere, that they still exist because its dificult to accept that someone thag was once important for me just dissapeared forever.
I was actually more close to my other grandma who still is alive but i loved my other grandma still.
As for my uncle he was someone very especial, cheerful and with a good aura.
I miss him more than anyone that i lost until now.

This reminds me of our last holidays.. We were in Armenia (visiting grandparents). My grandparents had many neighbours and there were also many children. There's all so different.. And I fell in love with one of the boys (I think he too, he was so sweet to me..❤) But a month later, when we had to fly back (we live in Germany), I didn't have time to say goodbye to them because we were late and my parents were fighting with each other.. And in the plane I played this song, looked in the sky and began to cry because.. I miss him and his sweet character. This songs honestly reminds me of that..💔

I relate to this song so much that it hurts. My great-grandma was diagnosed with dementia and modern altihmerz last summer. When I saw her for the first time in months she still remembered me and my little sis but over the months she slowly started spacing out more and more, the light in her eyes flickering. The worst thing is that I know I won't be able to see her again. She caught COVID a few weeks ago and passed away because of it.

When I hear this song I think of all the time I was numb (Depressed/Suicidal and didn't care anymore) and I didn't loose the memory of everyone around me, I lost the memory of who I am/was and what I stood for and I did stupid crap that I regret so much and I hurt the ones I love/care about so bad and I wish I could go back and tell them I am so sorry for how I was and tell them how I was feeling......... My dad was my best friend growing up. He had a love for astronomy, a love that he imparted to me. I remember when he would wake me up at 1am on the weekends, careful not to disturb my siblings. He would be holding a jacket and cup of cocoa, and we would go into the backyard with his big telescope. He favored the “astronomer’s sky”, where the moon is down and the stars are bright and endless. He taught me to star hop, finding stars with memory of their proximity to constellations. He was so proud of me; it was our thing. I treasure those days.
He suffered a series of strokes a few years ago that left him with memory loss. He had no memory of those days. He didn’t remember being outside with me in the cold with a telescope and that cup of cocoa, patting me on the back with pride every time I found a star...it breaks my heart. I have to remember for the both of us now.
