If it wasn’t for defenders keeping things tight at the back it’s impossible to win titles. You can score all the goals in the world during a match but if you concede more than you score you lose, therefore no titles and certainly no recognition.
For me there are only two candidates for the top awards this season and they are Ruben Dias and Gundogan. As much as I love Gundo and appreciate the work he has done for City this season and every season since he arrived, my pick would be Dias because he has had the most impact of any player from any team this season. Well deserved 👏👏👏👏
