  • In this episode of Garner It!, we explore the controversial rule of Qin Shihuangdi, the first Emperor of China. Qin did many great things for China. He unified the country, standardized the laws, money, weights, measures and writing. He built the Great Wall of China and even had the country named after him. On the flip side, he was a strict Legalist and used harsh laws and severe punishments to rule his country. He executed hundreds of scholars, burned books and sent thousands to work and die on the Great Wall. He became paranoid of plots and death and spent years looking for immortality. He built himself an amazing tomb that is famous for the army of 6,000 terra-cotta warriors. Good? Bad? It's your call! Goes with TCI History Alive Ch. 22.
