I actually like the orange pumpkin head! But if you really wanted to change it I feel like a white pumpkin could be cute, especially if you left the black features or added gray shading!
Potentially, you could do a very thin coat of black paint wash over the pumpkin to tone down the orange but still retain the "light up" feature. And you could build up the layers as well so you can control the opacity of the paint? Either way though, congrats on the Headless Horseman. EDIT: OH NO. I love these halloween hauls, I'm from europe so while halloween decor becomes more and more a thing, it's no where near how amazing it is in the states so I love seeing everything everyone gets. and as for my own find. it's not just home decor, but after a year of saving up I finally was able to snatch up (on sale!) the le creuset pumpkin dutch oven! I am so happy with it, it's so gorgeous, and while I have used it already to make the first batch of pumpkin soup of the year, when not in use it stands proudly as a display piece that makes me so happy.

My husband has the smaller all black version of this from yeeeeears ago (before everyone hunted it) and we’ve broken it… twice… he’s all glued back together and my husband still loves him. I keep trying to find one to replace it and never can. 😅 You got some really nice items this year!
If you haven't thrown the headless horseman away yet, it might be worth trying to glue the pieces back together and fill in any gaps with air dry clay. Let it dry, gently sand down the excess, and paint it black. It might not be perfect afterwards, but it looks like the majority of it is still intact and with it being all black you'd have to be pretty close to see the imperfections.

Lovely vid. Ty! My new home decore that's a bit dark is a set of the satanic magic creatures (unicorn, dragon, griffon and goathorned cat) so cute! love them. They are dark gray and silver highlights and can fit in your hand. I could get a few more but these are enough for now. And I got the Maltese Falcon statue. It is small for a statue, a good piece of shelf decore that looks like a black carved stone eagle or some such thing.
