I plan on putting them in front of my graphic novels. I’d prefer them at $20. At $30 I’m going to be selective. Wolverine is a must have especially with magneto from that same cover coming soon. I hope they build out the full X-men 1 roster in a way that they will all display together.
Backdrops are not good enough to justify the space they consume, especially given that they are random (AI?) "art" that have nothing to do with the comic art on the box that inspired the fig. Such a weird decision.

Yea these are pretty dope! I’m not a big statue guy but these have my attention. Specifically that Todd McFarland drawn Spider-Man and that wolverine. I love that comic cell shaded look they did. I have to admit the paint on the iron man is pretty freakin sick.
Honestly i personally sometimes prefer the statues over articulation because there is less floppiness and its one solid piece these were beautifully done price can be abit lower. But for me I appreciate the statues so much.
@@ivanpyratech1383 that makes no sense, but if you are saying im a todd ass kisser, i always hated his style on spider-man,everyone looked like a mutante muppet, spawn is edgy 90s cancer tude, as per the toys i cant comment, never touched one of them. but who gives a shit for AI generated background ?its just fluff and the majority of people complaining will NEVER use it cos it takes too much space and the rest will just toss it with the box into the garbage
Mcfarlane is very smart, he is taking over the space of Diamond select, and Funko with this, these statues are great as a BD, or Christmas present, any fan will love this, these statues will really bussin a desk.
I would love to get the Spider-Man ones, and the upcoming Venom should be awesome. But the $30 price is hard to justify as a Marvel Legends collector who has all of these characters with articulation. Given that most Marvel Legends are $25-$35 I think I'd pick a new ML figure over these statues in store. But we'll see! I am definitely curious to check them out and would like to get at least one.
I got Deadpool and I’m pretty happy with it. If they could take these and add articulation that doesn’t look like crap I’d like them to take over from Hasbro.
I only bought the Target exclusive Ditko Spider-Man because I'm a big fan of that era. I also have the John Romita Target Exclusive ASM #68 on pre-order. I love me some classic Spidey. I might have picked up the two McFarlane Spideys, but I already have a couple of very nice McFarlane Spider-Man statues so I didn't really need these new ones.

Spider-Man started out as a teenager in the comics, but he didn't stay one. Some TV shows, video games, and movies depict him as already being an adult. It's not like he's always supposed to be a kid. Just saying.
Sit down the couch, bring up your knee and see if you can get yourself into that McFarlane pose, I find that I can get my shoulder just behind my knee and not to make that pose feel more realistically possible to me
I knew these were going to be bad but man they're even worse than I thought. I hate the extra added details that weren't present in the original drawings. That's exactly what I don't like about mezco and these are doing that same thing. The deadpool and the Spider-Man ones are okay.
Deadpool - no. Hate that depiction. Wolverine - no. His uniform is not made of football leather. Iron Man - so close. The face "shading" is a bit off. Ditko Spider-Man - On the fence. Love the iconic version but wish they had adjusted that arm/head angle to display better AND gotten the shade of blue correct. WTH McFarlane? No excuse. McFarlane Spider-Man - best of the bunch. Might get it.
12:10 There was some controversy about possible use of AI art for the backdrops. I can’t say for all of them but people suspected the two Spider-Man backdrops the most. It would definitely explain why it doesn’t match the tone, coloring, or style of the figure at all
I'm NOT a fan of Todd McFarlane action figures.. even tho i was a fan of his King Kong & Jaws movie based figures/ statues released awhile back.. these McFarlane Marvel figures have a cell shading effect i don't like as well.
it's funny, the statues are accurate but the articulated figures are generally overdesigned and crappy especially in terms of proportions also more than 15 these are garbage, the banpresto figures cost around 25 and they are even more packed with details and they're taller, these are really nothing special especially for the price i'd rather see these sculpt implemented in a figure that can articulate, because these are great sculpt wise, but not worht the money as an overall product since you can have better with the same money spent

Unfortunately it was, the McFarlane Spiderman you'll notice the trees coming out of some buildings and looks really off.
